Tension filled the air as Gabriel fought with the two demons, moving gracefully with his spear in hand. He swings his spear around himself, pushing the two demons away from him, and he quickly stabs one in its chest with the blade end of the spear. The blade suddenly lights up in a white bright light, causing the demon to howl out in pain as it sets into flames. The other demon attacked Gab from the behind, but he had reflexes and swung his spear, stabbing the demon in the chest like other. Again, a bright white light shined, and flames set on the demon.
Meanwhile, Michele or Michael (a common name known by humans) fought with a sword, its blade shined a bright white light just like the blade on Gab’s spear. She fought with grace and ease, slicing the demon’s belly, causing it to growl in pain and annoyance. It threw a fist at her, quick reflex, she dodged its attack and in one swift movement; she stabbed her blade into its heart. She pulled out her blade, and the demon fell to the floor, then flames grew on it.
Both archangels glanced at each other, seeing none injured, then glanced at the fallen angel, angel of death and demon. “ARE YOU ANGELS CRAZY! YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN THE FIGHT OUTSIDE, NOT IN MY CLUB!” Hiram yelled, gasping at the sight of the three burning demon that were ruining the floor. “One of you needs to pay these damages!” He said, folding his arms across his chest and pouting like a big baby.
Death rolled his eyes, “they saved you, why not thank them?” He said, a bit annoyed.
“Even if my life were on the line, they wouldn’t bother. They only came because there’s little Miss “Naomi” here. They’ll protect her no matter the cast,” Hiram sneered, glanced over to Gab, who was staring at Naomi. He smirked, case closed, and was he was right. But he chooses not to say anymore. “So little angels, what’s the plan!?” He asked.
Gab snapped his gaze to Hiram, then glanced at Michele, who made her sword disappear into her palm. “Our mission is to stop Lucifer from starting a war on earth,” Michele said, looking over at Naomi and gave her a soft sad smile. “Now let’s go see Leonard,” she glanced at Gab.
“You know where he is?” Death asked, taking Naomi’s hand, and approached the angels. He ignored Gab’s stare on their hands as he gazed at Michele.
Michele nodded her hand, walked to Naomi, who had her head down. “His the one who called for our help at the first place.” She cupped Naomi’s chin, lifting her head, and smiled warmly at the innocent fallen angel. “Don’t worry about everything, Naomi. You’re safe.” Naomi hesitantly nodded, then glanced over at Gab.
“Let’s leave this place,” Gab murmured, while his spear disappeared into his palm as he turned on his heels, leaving the club with Michele, Death and Naomi following behind him.
“HEY! WHAT ABOUT MY CLUB!” Hiram called out, gasping in shock that they left him. “These no-good angels,” he muttered as he hurried around the table and running after them. As passed the burning demons, he frowned in disgust, “that’s what you get when you miss with me.” He said before leaving the club.
Instead of stepping out to the alleyway, Hiram was stepping into a penthouse where Gab, Michele, Death, Naomi and another man were in the seating around. The room was not lit brightly, the only light coming that was entering the room was the lights from the buildings in front of the complex. Naomi seated on one couch, Death seated next to her on the arm of the couch while Gab and Michele stood by the windows then the unknown guy was leaning over the back of the couch was across the couch Naomi seated on.
“Look at you all are making yourselves at home,” Hiram said, rolling his eyes, then glanced at the stranger with a smirk. “Leo! How have you been?” He asked.
Leonard had long blonde hair tied up into a ponytail, green eyes glancing over at Hiram. His face was blank as he stared at the demon, “Hiram…” He said in an emotionless tone.
Hiram looked up and down at Leo, checking out his sharp royal navy-blue suit, “nice suit.” He muttered, glancing at Death. “See,” he nods his head at Leo. “His wearing a suit too.”
Death shrugged his shoulders, “so? I understand his running a company and he has important meetings to attend. As for you… You just have a nightclub and that’s different.” He said.
Hiram was about to fire back, but Leo loudly cleared his throat, cutting Hiram off and he walked towards the demon. “We have more important issues to talk about and suits are not one of them,” Leo said, placing a hand on Hiram’s shoulder. Hiram stared at Leo’s hand was on his shoulder, then back up at Leo before shrugging his hand off and stepping back. Leo turned, glancing at the angels, “so what is the plan? Has HE said what the mission is?” He asked.
Gab and Michele slowly turned their gaze to each other, with hesitation to say something to them, but Death knew what was wrong. He suddenly laughed out loud, “his still silent, isn’t he!?” He said loudly, gaining everyone’s attention. “Even when the devil has escaped, he still silent!?”
There was silence in the room, Naomi leaned back against the couch and wrapped her arms around herself. “So, we must come up with a plan?” She muttered, staring out to the distance. Their Father had been silent with them for so long that they forgot how long it has been, the archangels felt lost but they keep it in mind that they must keep the peace and protect the humans from demons. But most of all, they knew they must make sure Lucifer stays in Hell.
“Well angels, what is your plan?” Hiram asked, and all four pairs of eyes stared at the two angels.
“Capture Lucifer,” Gab said with a serious look on his face.
Everyone was silence for a moment, “no s**t,” Hiram chuckled.
“Have you forgotten how hard it was for you angels to capture him the first time?” Death asked, lifting an eyebrow.
“Maybe we should ask Miss big ideas,” Hiram said, glancing at Naomi. “After all, … She was the one who turned against Lucifer.”
Naomi felt nervous when all eyes around to her, glancing at Leo and Death, hoping they would have an idea, but they were quiet and stared at her. She did not know what to say, but she knew ideas needed to be voiced so they decide. “We run and hide,” she said. “We can’t fight Lucifer, his powerful and we need help from Father, if we plan to capture him once again.”
“But he has a Demon witch, she will track you guys,” Michele said.
“Then you guys protect us!” Death said, snapping his gaze the angels.
“As if they will?” Hiram sneered, folding his arms across chest and glaring at Death.
“Have you forgotten, Naomi is with us,” Leo said, even though his voice was low and husky, but they all heard, and they turned their attention to him. “Naomi will never leave us in danger, she’s not the cruel to do that. So…” He looked over to Gab and smirked, “wherever Naomi goes, we go with her and you must protect not only her but also us too.”
Michele gaped in shock by Leo’s confidence, and she glanced at Gab, who looked angered by this sudden boldness. Naomi stood onto her feet and faced Gab’s direction, “if you want to protect me then you have to protect them too, I caused this for them and I must make sure they are safe.” She said, lifting her head high.
Gab stalked to her and grabbed her arms, shaking her gently, “IT WAS LUCIFER! He caused this mess, and you fell victim to his lies. You did what needed, and it is not your fault.”
Death jumped onto his feet and placed his hand on Gab’s chest, lightly pushing back, “don’t remind her about the past.” Death warns him. Gab glanced at Death then back Naomi, hesitantly letting off her arms as he stepped back. Death kept his gaze on Gab, “it’s late and we need to rest. Leo, why don’t you show Naomi her room for the night.”
Leo gently grabbed Naomi’s arm, pulling away from the scene, leaving the others in silence. Hiram narrowed his gaze on Leo and Death, feeling there was more happening between the three. He remembered the pair being protective over Naomi before and after their falling, but there was more to the story than what they were having everyone believing. But what was it?
Once Leo and Naomi were away, Death stepped away from Gab, “tomorrow night we must leave this place before Lucifer realises that we are all back together. We are still not sure if he is still paranoid as before. And Gabriel, be easy on Naomi. You know how sensitive she can be.” He said.
