Nike's p.o.v "Shadrach has set up a lunch meeting," Lucy said as we sat in the living room. Shadrach was a powerful president of a very well known and respected publishing company, he was mostly serious and had his eyes on me. "Let me guess, he insisted it should be just the two of us right?" I asked sarcastically. "Yes," she answered in a low voice. "Then Cancel it," I said seriously. "Cancel it? I can't Nike, he said it was important, something to do with our company," she said loudly. "Lucy, you should know by now that Shadrach is a liar, he has no interest in our company or my work, he only has his eyes on me in that way, and I'm very sure he only wants to have s*x with me that's all, he usually tells me how I'm very attractive and makes him insane,  plus I'm not interested in him," I answered. "You don't know that!, are you very sure that he wants only s*x from you Nike, no offense but there are a lot of women who approach him, some are sexier than you and I combined in one. When will you accept the truth that shadreck loves you alot, and if you were to ask me I think marriage between the two of you would be very great for your company, people would die of envy seeing two powerful companies join together and becoming one," she said. "What wrong with you Lucy, Are you in love with him or something?" I asked seriously. "No," she exclaimed loudly. "Then never ever say that again," I said angrily. "But why?, Shadrach is rich, handsome, intelligent, Caring, and damn single," She answered. I stood up and pressed my hand on my hip. "Let me give you reason enough, I don't like him, and he's so not my type, Shadrach is always praising himself and his success, how can I marry a person who always talks about himself!" I yelled. "He does that because he is truly successful, once in a while you to should try and do it," she answered. She was very unbelievable, she sounded nothing like my best friend. "He's not my type, period," I answered loudly. "Then who is your type?" She asked. "Well he should at least be like Marshal," I answered with a smile. "Marshal!, who the hell is Marshal?" she asked in nearly a scream. "He's the guy that took me home that time I fainted," I answered as my smile grew wider. "Hello, wake up," Lucy said while waving her hand. "I'm up already," I answered calmly. "I would have known, Nike do you even know the guy?" she asked. "Yes and I'm going on a date with him next Saturday," I answered. "What does this guy have that other guys don't have, I have never seen you like any guy in my whole entire life, then from nowhere there is a guy you like," she said in shock. "I know right, things happen and it feels like I know him forever, everything about him is so calming and relaxing," I answered.  "Really?" She asked.  "Yes Lucy," I answered proudly. "Wow, you really have changed Nike," she said then stood up. "That goes to you too Lucy, you act very different than the you I remember, I get that you want what's best for me but Shadrach isn't, so how about you stay away from him, no more picking up his calls or making appointments with him," I said seriously. "Fine, I won't do that anymore," she answered. I sat down and relaxed. "Tell me more about this Marshal guy," she said. That was the Lucy I knew of, she was always curious to know what was happening in my life. "Well, the first thing I can say is that Vicky was the one that set us up, according to her she thought he was a very cool and kind man, she was also impressed with the fact that he rushed me home without wanting anything in return," I said. "So it was Vicky who played the matchmaker, I should say she has grown up into a fine lady," she answered. "Yes, I went that side thinking we were going to have a drink when we weren't, once I reached that side she ditched me with the guy, and it's funny how the man knew nothing about it too, we later decided to get to know each other. Lucy, Marshal has got that character that can easily make you relax and be calm, I enjoyed every minute of our conversation," I said. "Is that why you decided on a second date, just because he had that great character, haven't you thought about the fact that he could be lying or pretending, have you?" She asked. "Why do you sound unhappy about him?" I asked loudly. "Because I'm concerned about you, you are my sister, and looking out for you comes naturally, how about you invite Mr good character here I meet him?" She asked. "Not happening," I answered seriously then stood up again. "Why?" She asked. "How about we drop this conversation because I can see it isn't going anywhere, it seems you are too good for everyone now Mrs judgemental," I mocked. "Oh come on, I wasn't mocking you or him in any way," she answered. "Yeah, if you have finished with reporting can you see yourself out please," I said seriously. "Wait, are you kicking me out because of a guy?" She asked loudly. "No, I'm just asking you to leave my house so that I rest," I answered. "Over a mere guy, unbelievable," she muttered to herself then walked out if the room. I walked out of the room and went upstairs. "Vicky," I called. "Coming," she answered from her room. I waited on her stairs patiently, she came out with a smile. "How do I look?" She asked then turned around. She was in a beautiful short jean skirt and bearles top. "You look normal," I answered. "Norma!" She screamed. "Yes, what did you want me to do, lie?" I asked. " You seriously have no sense of fashion sis, I'm going to ask Lucy downstairs," she said while rolling her eyes. "Lucy is gone," I answered. "What, She left without saying goodbye, but why?" She asked. "She said she had a few things to take care of, she also asked me to say goodbye to you on her behalf," I answered with a wide smile. "Well that's Lucy for you," she said then turned and walked back in her room.
