Chapter 10: Knights Of Aspartin
The events of the next few days were all a blur in Alex’s mind. The ship that had come to investigate theirs was from Traffic Control; it quickly relayed the message to Nexus that the kidnapped Vanakh was all right, as were Kasinda Venderling and Alex Bredakoff, who’d been listed as missing. A Security ship was dispatched to pick up the prisoners and take them into official custody—and aboard that ship were Alex’s and Kasinda’s fathers.
Both parents were relieved to find their children safe, and upset that their misbehavior had triggered this situation. Pol Venderling was a little more resigned to his daughter’s adventures, but Gregor Bredakoff made it clear that Alex would be in for some stern reprimands both from him and from Delya when the boy returned
