Chapter 12On the way to Zach’s house, Johnny took Brendan’s call. His mind raced on the information about Carpenter Holdings having some connection to the envelope and key that sat in the Yaris’s unused ashtray. He couldn’t believe that he was getting closer to the mystery. He whistled a Sam Smith song as he rang the doorbell. Johnny expected Zach to greet him at the door. But he stood there for a long while before he rang the doorbell again.
