The Inn:

1678 Words

The Inn: The fire destroyed Adriana’s life, and she knew in her heart who to blame. That weasel-faced motherless man did it, and nothing anyone said to her, no amount of evidence presented, would make her change her mind. Her ability to fixate on items had been her strength and weakness, now she became fixated on the Weasel and anyone he worked with. Covered in soot and grime from the blaze, she sat homeless in the street as her neighbors celebrated the fact they did not lose their homes. They didn’t hate Adriana; they didn’t know her, and the town found her slightly off from everyone else. Adriana just didn’t fit in. Ever since she was a child, the people around her called her off, strange, or not all there. She rapidly grew smarter than most of the people around her, and she knew it.
