Cielle’s POV:
I woke up with a start.
Something felt wrong but i couldn't immediately figure out what it was and the darkness in the room wasn’t helping much. I blinked rapidly hoping to get the remnant iof the sleepy haze out of my mind before pulling myself to a sitting position. My body felt oddly relaxed, like i had no problem in the world but my mind was racing with question. I tapped around the bed and let out a sigh of relief when i found my phone.
A small scream escaped my lips when i turned on the flashlight and the space in front of me looked unrecognizable. Everything became worse when my yes fell to my clothes that had been strewn all around the edge of the bed and as if on cue the events of the previous night came flooding through my mind, filling me with horror.
I had slept with another man.
And not only was he a complete stranger, it was also the best s*x of my life and there were no words to expalin the turmoil that went through my mind as the thought filled my mind. I pricked my ears, but there were no sounds coming from within the house and i gently made my way out of the bed. I had to get out of here before he got back from wherever he had gone to. I scopped my clothes into my hands and made my way to the adjoined bathroom.
The reflection of myself that stared at me in the mirror had my eyes widening in horror. They were love bites littering almost every inch of my body and i ran a finger against one of it on my left breast, shivering in pleasure at the contact. I shook my head slightly, before splashing some cold water on my face. I Would deal with the guilt of this situation later. For now, I had to focus on getting out of here before Aiden got back.
I hurriedly slipped into my clothes, thankfully I had been wearing a sweater so it easily hid the majority of the love bites, pulling my hair into a ponytail before making my way out of the bathroom. I snatched my purse from the floor and made my way out of the room. Most of the events of the previous night was still a haze but as I made my way down the stairs I could remember the way I had giggled as Aiden had flung me over his shoulders and made his way up the stairs.
There was less noise coming from the club now and when i checked my phone it was to find that it was already 6AM. I made my way through the set of doors, ducking my head to make sure I didnt run into Aiden and when I finally exited the club, the wave of fresh air that hit my face was more than satisfying. I began making my way down the roads hoping to catch a cab back home.
The thought that I didn't have to get home to Jason or deal with his overbearing presence when I got home made the entire situation easier to deal with. I hailed a cab back home once I was a good distance away from the club and i sat in it, my thoughts began running wild again.
There was something about last night that complicated the entire situation. I could admit that i had made a mistake but my body didnt seem to think so. When the images of how Aiden had pleasured me to the tip of my ties came flashing through my mind, my body heated in reaction and I had to shut my legs tighter to prevent the heat overflowing from my core.
“Thank you.” I said to the cab driver as I paid the fare.
Although I had just experienced one of the most satisfying nights I've had in a long time, I still felt pretty tired and I dragged my body into the house, wanting nothing more than to head straight to my room and go back to bed.
“And where are you coming from?” came Jason's voice from the living area the moment I stepped into the house and it froze me in my tracks.
I slowly turned around to face him and i found him sitting on one of his chairs, coffee in hand and a deep frown on his face. I knew what that frown meant and it made me tremble in my spot. When did he get back? And most importantly, why was he back? I didnt ask any of these questions, instead i took a step into the room.
“Hey, I didn't know it was going to be that short of a trip. How was it?” I asked, swallowing to get the lump that had begun forming out of my throat.
But I knew it was the wrong thing to say when Jason dropped his cup of coffee and stalked towards me. I took a step back but it was too late because he grabbed me by my neck and pulled me closer to him and i whimpered in reaction as he began squeezing at my neck.
“I asked you a damn f*****g question you i***t. Where the hell have you been? I've been waiting here for over an hour and I know you didn't sleep in this house. So I'm asking you one last time before I pound your face in, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?” He screamed in my face.
“I-I got a c-call from the h-hos-pital very early this morning concerning my mother.” i managed to wheeze through
I couldn't tell where the lie had come from but it seemed to have been perfect because Jason immediately let go of me. I struggled to catch my breath afterwards and my husband simply walked away from me, muttering something about preparing his breakfast. I made my way to the kitchen to do as told and once i had prepared his breakfast and the was settled down to eat, I hurriedly took a bath and tried to cover up the majority of the love bite that littered my body with some make up before slipping into the sweater and jeans that I had specifically picked out to help with my mission.
I exited the bathroom to find Jason standing by the entrance of our bedroom and my heart skipped a beat at the sight of him. I couldn’t tell if it was just the guilt of the situation that was eating at me but I couldn’t bear to be in his presence even more than before.
“You should get started on lunch. We have a guest.” He simply said before leaving the room and I let out a sigh of relief the moment he did.
I moved out of the bedroom and as I moved down the stairs the sound of chatter and laughter reached my ears and I paused in my tracks.
“Here she is. Come on here, why are you standing over there looking like you’ve seen a ghost?” Jason asked in a fake cheerful voice that surprised me for a second.
“This is my beautiful wife Cielle, I’ve been telling you about. Cielle, this is my brother, Aiden.” Jason said, causing my heart to drop to my stomach.
And standing in front of me with a sly smirk across his lips was the man that I had sworn to avoid till my last breath.
