  Sue rushed toward the door with her daughter slung over her back. Ray followed close behind her and stayed on high alert. The air was filled with the smell of formaldehyde, and the dark surroundings made Ray even more fearful. Occasionally there would be noise from Zone B, and Ray worried that a dangerous creature could jump out at any minute. “What is your daughter’s name?” Ray asked casually, trying to ease the tension.
