Heaven Venezia:-
"I don't know what you are talking about, Rick." I lied "Just get to work. Have you arranged to call all the expert doctors worldwide to come over? Are there traveling arrangements along with their accommodation arranged?"
"Yes, they all will be here first thing in the morning." he answers, looking into my eyes "You know, I am like a father to you. Right, Heaven? So, you can share everything with me. You can cry and let out all your frustrations. I won't mind and won't tell anyone about it, because this won't make you weak, but it will make you strong, and capable enough to make the right moves."
"You know I trust you more than anyone, Rick. Just like Giovanni does, but there are some things that better stay hidden for the time being until Giovanni recovers." I replied, politely "I need to go to the hospital and look at Giovanni. I want to make sure he is alright. In the meantime, can you please go and make sure the children are asleep and guarded?"
"Sure, but Heaven, you need to rest too. You don't have to answer or tell me the truth but I know, and I will protect you with my life, so you can tell Giovanni yourself." Rick smiled and left while the cleaning crew entered with all kinds of cleaning chemicals to make sure the room was super clean and germs-free.
"Make sure everything is spotless over here," I ordered and walked to the hospital where I saw Giovanni unconscious with an IV attached while the doctor was examining him.
"Is he going to be alright?" I demanded the doctor in a dangerously low tone.
"Donna," the doctor nodded his head and spoke "I can't promise if Don is going to be completely fine. What I can do is keep him stable and keep on monitoring his organs and his blood work. He has been drugged with a heavy dose of a very rare and dangerous drug that has no cure, and what's worse, that drug has made Don addicted that if not provided, he will die, unless the antidote is injected in his body."
"Can you find out the name of this drug and get me the antidote ASAP?" I asked, "I don't want to waste any time and see my husband suffer like this."
"I am afraid that no antidote for this drug has been made until now because no medicine is made out of this drug as it is too harmful, but whoever has injected Don with it, has made a harmful drug out of it, that doesn't only make Don go crazy, addicted but it makes him los...."
"Lose his memory." I completed for him "I f*****g know that. Get me something new, Doctor or your head will be blown out. I want you to fix my husband and if you can't do it alone, the experts are going to be here first thing in the morning, collaborate with them and get me the antidote for this drug, but first I want you to tell me that is Giovanni going to have seizures and this severe pain after every two days, and if so, then do you have a way to make him calm and control his urge?"
"Donna, I am afraid there isn't any. The only way to make him stay alive until the antidote is made is by providing Don with the dose of the same drug that is injected into him. I am so sorry to say this, but the chances of Don's survival without that harmful drug are close to none." he says, looking down at his feet ashamed "I am sorry, that I can't do anything about this, Donna."
"So, you are asking me to inject my husband with the same drug every two days to keep him alive, knowing this will make him forget about me and our family more with every dose?" I was literally shouting with uncontrollable anger this time "Tell me honestly or tomorrow will be your funeral. Is there any supplier for this drug?"
"No, Donna. There isn't any. As I said, it is a rare drug, and the formula that is used to make this is unique. No one has ever developed anything like this before. Whoever has drugged Don with it, is the one who is the supplier." the doctor finished "Please, Donna, spare me. I will do everything in my power to make Don recover. Just don't kill me."
"So, it means that we can't kill that, motherfucking b***h?" came Flora's voice from behind, who entered with Matteo and looked at Giovanni with a concerned expression, and hugged me.
"He is going to be alright, Heaven." she tried to comfort me, but I wasn't in the mood. I don't need comfort or sympathy. I want results. I want action that will bring my Giovanni back to me.
"I need to go," I murmured when Matteo stopped me.
"And, where do you think you are going, Heaven?" he asked me, looking at me with the same electric blue eyes as Giovanni.
"I am going to torture that b***h, until she handover the drug to me, along with the formula for an antidote," I answered when Matteo shook his head.
"And, you think she is going to tell you? After all the torture?" he asked "Well, the answer is a Big No, because she won't. She is a mafia princess, raised in the underworld which is filled with nothing but pain and torture. She knows pain and knows how to bear it. She won't give you the drug or the formula to antidote. Did she say anything to you about something? Like what she wants and why is she doing this?"
I frowned for a few moments then I remembered her saying something about making a deal, but what kind of deal?
"No, she didn't" I lied, confidently looking into his eyes " But, I am going to find out. Alone."
"Alone?" he asked confused "But, why?"
