"Giovanni....Giovanni, are you alright? What happened?" I asked, in a worried tone as I tried to grab hold of him while his whole body was shaking as if he was having a seizure.
"No...No, don't come near me. Please don't touch me. It hurts. It hurts so bad." Giovanni cried "Ahhh!"
"Giovanni, honey. Please tell me what's going on so I can help you." I cried, looking at his condition as he fell on the floor in the corner and held on to his body tightly when my eyes landed on my daughter who was looking at her father in shock with tears running down her face while she held on to her favorite stuff toy that Giovanni gifted to Gabriella on her first birthday, and since then she hasn't moved that stuffed toy anywhere or won't let anyone touch it except for me and Giovanni.
"What the hell are you watching, Cedric?" I snapped "Take her from here. She is scared."
"Mommy...Mommy, what's going on with daddy?" she asked, with trembling lips "Is daddy going to be alright?...Is he in pain?"
"Don't worry, sweetie. Daddy is going to be alright. He is just having a fever. Why don't you go out with Uncle Cedric and I will have the doctor give your daddy some medicine okay? Trust me. He is going to be alright." I tell Gabriella as calmly as I can. She nodded and left with Cedric while I moved to Giovanni. She knelt beside him as he screamed louder this time.
"Heaven, please help me. It hurts so much." Giovanni pleaded "Make it stop."
"The doctor is on the way, Gio. They will make it alright. I promise you." just as I was making a promise to him, Rick talked to some one on his earpiece and looked at me with a worried expression.
"Heaven, there is someone over here to meet you." Rick spoke, "You need to meet the person now."
"Can't you see, Giovanni is in pain? Whoever it is, needs to wait, and if they can't. Kill the person."
"I am afraid, we can't do that, Heaven." Rick sighed "It is Carmen Martinez. She is here to personally talk to you and she is waiting for you in the study office with Matteo."
"Huh? What is Cameron doing over here?" I asked confused and stood up instantly "What does she want? And, why come from Spain all the way to Italy when she could have talked to me back in Spain?"
"Because I came here to give you this." came the voice of the b***h at that same moment. Carmen stood at the doorway of my daughter's room, holding an injection in her hand "This will make his pain stop."
"What is that thing?" Rick asked in a dangerous tone "And, why would you come over here all the way from Spain to give that when you could have given it back to Giovanni at your place it is some kind of his meds."
"It's not a medicine, fool." I spoke with gritted teeth "It's a drug. I told you she wanted something."
"Wow, you are a smart woman, Donna." Carmen chuckles and begins to reach for Giovanni when I grab her wrist and push her away from him, giving her a death glare "And, strong too. Tell me, how did you figure out that it's a drug and not a medicine?"
"Because of his seizures," I answered in a low lethal voice "I have seen the addicts react like this in pain. Now, tell me what did you go to him to make him addicted to the drug you are holding?"
"I am impressed with your knowledge and yes, I want something in return if you want to save your dear husband," she spoke, her voice arrogant and filled with attitude now "He will bear the pain for the next fifteen minutes only and if he doesn't get this drug in his body in these fifteen minutes, the veins of his brains are going to explode and he is going to die."
"No, you are lying," I murmured and Rick growled.
"What the f**k are you talking about, lady?" he growled "There is no such thing like this."
"In my mafia it is. And, what's the best part? I created it myself." she grinned "This drug I am holding is my invention. Good enough to explore a person's brain, and if they are strong then it will make them....."
"Lose their memories." I finished for her, grabbed her by her throat, and slammed her against the nearest wall "You b***h! I am going to kill you. You did this. You did this to my husband. You made my husband lose his memories. Why?!"
"You are wasting time, Donna. Let me give him this drug and then we can talk and make a deal," she said, and tried to push me away when I elbowed on her ribs and snatched the drug from her hands.
"No, first I want to know which drug is this?" I demanded, took out my gun, and pointed at her, when her men pointed their guns at me that came with her and she smirked.
"Ahhh!...Please....please...give it to me." came Givoanni's screamed, his heart out this time.
"Rick, where the hell is the doctor?" I shouted, leaning towards Giovanni and placing my hand on his forehead which was burning up like he was on fire "f**k!"
"You have only got seven minutes left, Donna. Are you going to give him or not?" Carmen asked, kneeling beside me in front of Giovanni and snatched back the syringe from me and before I could react, she injected Giovanni with it on his arms.
"It burns! It burns!" Giovanni's painful screams echoed throughout the whole mansion, and his breathing went heavy, as he was struggling to breathe, he placed his hand on his throat and cried "I....I can't breathe....I can't breathe." his voice low until it faded and he fell on the floor with a thud and passed out.
"No...No, Giovanni! Giovanni! Wake up...wake up and open your eyes." I pleaded with him but he didn't.
"You! What did you do to my husband?!" I lost it and stabbed her shoulder with Giovanni's favorite blade that he kept hidden under the secret compartment underneath Gabriella's nightstand. A few gunshots were fired towards me and the next thing I knew, my dress was covered with blood on my belly.
"No...no...no," I murmured under my breath as I feared for my baby "No...no..please...no,"
"Heaven!" I heard Rick's frightened tone as he called my name and reached for me.
