Miles coming to my workplace was a shock. I have never expected him to stop moreover handing over me a marriage license. My mind was baffled. I was still angry at him about how he accused me and how he called me names.
He was shocked when I quoted what he said about giving him a favor by disagreeing with his Mom’s request. I supposed, telling his mom about having a grandkid would probably change her decision, but I don’t think Miles would do it. Marriage was the best option on his table.
He’d given me two weeks to prepare for our supposed wedding. ‘How am I going to explain to mom and dad?’ I thought.
I can’t tell them Belinda’s proposition. I can't say that this will be an arranged marriage. That she was blackmailing us.
