CHAPTER 8

-HARD GIRL TO GET-

Ella felt so happy knowing all this about the brothers. She was most definitely going to use this to bring them down. Thanks to what they look for in a girl, she was going to be everything. She would be the intelligent girl with Zayn, she will be into b**m with Carlos and at the same time she is going to be a fun party girl with Arthur. It will be hard to do all these things but she was going to do it regardless. It had to be done. This way, each of them will find her special not knowing that she will be special with all of them.

The brothers met for the final meeting later that day. They needed to stop reporting to each other and each of them then go ahead to work on luring Ella. The only reporting that they would want at the end of all this is when someone manages to win her love and then ends up breaking her heart.

Since they didn't believe in love, they did not have any boundaries. Anyone can do whatever they want to lure Ella to the trap they have all set for her.

Arthur really felt so much connected to Ella. After his brother made it a free ground for everyone, he decided to be the first to act on it. He wanted to win Ella before anyone else because he knew of the much fun that he experienced while hanging out with her.

Immediately after the meeting was over, he planned a trip. He wanted to go for a road trip with Ella. Of course after planning everything, he did not intend on staying with the news. He had to act on it immediately.

He was so happy as he went knocking on Ella's door. He really hoped that she was going to say yes to him.

Ella had just worn her pyjamas ready for bed when she heard a soft knock on her door. She was instantly confused because she was not expecting anyone. Anyway, she went to open the door and found Arthur waiting.

" Can I come in?" Arthur asked with a warm smile gracing his face.

" Of course, you can come in," Ella said.

" I don't want to keep you waiting for so long. I can as well hit the nail on the head on why I am really here," Arthur explained.

" Talk to me, I am listening," Ella wanted to hear from him. After they hung out last night, she had spent most of her time indoors trying to get herself to draw new designs but she couldn't find any of the designs that she had drawn attractive.

In frustration, she drank some wine and fell asleep. She woke up later, ate and was about to go to bed when Arthur showed up.

" I want us to go for a road trip. Before you say no, I want to assure you that we are going to have a good time. " Arthur said and he could literally feel his heart thudding in his chest. He was so nervous because what if she says no?

" Arthur…" Ella paused. The truth is that she didn't want to go. She was frustrated with her designs yet she was expected to deliver hence leaving for a road trip was the last thing that was expected of her.

" Come on Ella, don't say no to me. I really like you and it would mean so much to me to have you be with me on the rise trip," Arthur said in desperation and this instantly made Ella change her mind.

The mention of liking really got her. She got the validation that despite her career failing her at this point thanks to her bad sketches, she at least did well in the revenge part. It has been showing since Arthur has started to like her.

" Yes, of course. I would want to go for a road trip with you because I know that I will have so much fun," Ella agreed and this was music to Arthur's ears. He knew for a fact that he was going to have the best time of his life on this road trip. Ella was such a fun person to be around.

" Thank you, thank you. Thank you so much. This means so much to me!" Arthur said before hugging her tightly and walking to the door.

He ensured that he told her of the departure time before he left.

As soon as he left, Ella locked the door and leaned against it thinking. Is this really the best choice? She however didn't want to beat herself up, thinking so hard about the issue. She therefore went to bed and looked forward to having a wonderful time. Maybe a road trip is all that she needed to get rid of her imposter syndrome. Maybe she needs that break. So many things have happened and this makes her think that that is why she has imposter syndrome.

Arthur woke up very early and prepared. He didn't have to give his brothers a heads up. It was every man for himself type of situation and he therefore had to mind his business.

He was pleased to find Ella ready for the trip. After they exchanged pleasantries, they walked downstairs where they boarded Arthur's sports car.

" Should I promise you one thing?" Arthur asked her as he drove out of the compound.

" Yes. " Ella said.

" You are going to have the best time of your life," Arthur made his promise and Ella smiled. She needed that.

They chatted all the way to the fancy beach that was about a two hour drive away from the town.

Ella lied to him about some personal things because she was not about to blow her cover.

Arthur on the other end was like an open book and Ella was so keen to listen to him talk because she knew that she needed to know all these facts about him so that she could use it against him. It's sad but that is just the reality. These people killed her sister and she was never going to forgive them despite how sweet they are towards her.

They had a late lunch and after that they went to their individual rooms to relax. By 7:00pm, they pulled up to the pool party and Arthur loved every detail of Ella's bikini. She had a perfect body, lips that he could barely resist kissing. He spent the entire night trying to get too close to her to kiss her but he never found a chance. She was so hard to get despite having several drinks.

Who is this girl? She is really a rare type of girl. Who doesn't want to be kissed by Arthur Peterson ? She just doesn't know what she is missing.

Arthur decided that he was not going to keep trying so hard. He knew that she would eventually come around. Nicole was just like her but eventually, she turned around. She needed time and not so much time.

For tonight, Arthur gave her her win of being a hard girl to get. If anything, this will make him try even harder tomorrow. He wants to ensure that he kisses her who knows, even make love to her before they go home.

He was so sure that eventually, he was going to win the bet.

He has won such bets before. This is such an easy peasy for him. He knew his way around women especially the likes of Ella.
