When asked the opinion of the word, ‘Pedophile’, a lot of meanings are seen into it.
Some say, ‘it is everyone’s choice to decide what it is they like.’
Whatever anyone would define it is, is of no concern to me, as in my own definition it is a sick way to have a s****l attraction.
My gaze remains on Jen, as neither a word nor a movement occurs from me, after hearing her confession to me. My mind still trying to register just how much trauma she must have been in, from having to be a mother to a sibling, to watching her fall Ill and not just that, but having a child for a mafia at just the age of seventeen, all to save her sister.
“f**k,” Is all that comes out of my lips at first, as I watch Jen staring back at me hopelessly. “Come here,” I pull her to me, embracing her so tight that I feel her tears stain my cloth as her sobs begin to grow louder. “It’s all the past Jen, he can’t hurt you. I won’t let him.” I tell her, while caressing her back.
“He has already tried Laura, and from what I know that is just a warning from him.” Jen pulls away from me.
“Then what does he want?” I resume my earlier question with furrowed eyebrows of wanting to understand it all.
Jen composes herself, by wiping the tears from her face before she begins to speak. “After I found out I was pregnant, and well he was my first and only person I slept with, of course it was his.” Jen Chuckles painfully. “I went back to Jacob, told him what happened and to my surprise he was happy about it.”My brows furrows even more.
“Apparently he wanted an heir all these while and he didn’t succeed up until I came by, but that wasn’t what I wanted. I had a life I wanted to accomplish. I wanted to go to school, to get a job and not be a baby mama for a mafia boss, yet, Jacob didn’t want to understand that as he pleaded for me to stay in his place and become his.
Someone I know doesn’t love me or care for me like I would want, rather someone I felt disgusted with, someone that took my pride away from me, how could I stay?” Jen tells me as tough a question to myself, yet, I just listen to her speak.
“At first I thought about it, cause Venice would be able to be taken care of, but when I thought about what kind of a man Jacob is, I dismissed the thought. I knew as long as I carried his child I will be connected to him, so I took the alternative. I aborted the pregnancy and ran away with Venice by changing both our identities, which Jacob found out that I had flushed out his only heir and now he’s found me and want revenge for that.” Jen ends.
“s**t,” I curse lowly, while I run a hand through my black locks, processing the whole conversation between Jen and I. “None of what you did was your fault.” I turn to Jen vividly. “You were young, naive and put in an impossible situation, you had no choice.” I tell Jen.
“Yes true, but the law might not see it that way and even if it did, do you really think they’ll still let me keep my Job after hearing all these? I f*****g implicated a person. I was involved with the mafia, and changed my identity.” Jen counters me. “This job is my life Laura, this job means everything to me which is why I took it in the first place, so as to help those who were and are in such a situation just like me.” Jen speaks solemnly. “I can’t let him take it from me and I can’t get my hands dirty again for him. I won’t let him ruin what I have built.” Jen adds.
“Does Alex know about all these?” I ask Jen, referring to her fiancé.
“No, I didn’t tell anyone, I can’t.” Jen shakes her head negatively. “The thing with Jacob is, if he can’t get me, he’ll go after Venice or Alex, which I can’t let happen again.” She says.
“And it won’t.” I face her vividly.
“You can’t say Laura, Jacob is…”
“You can’t play dirty Jen, doesn’t mean skylar or Aurora can’t.” I cut Jen off with a raised brow.
“What are you saying?” Jen asks perplexed.
“He is in the mafia, good, In fact, great. Aurora Fisher is a drug lord too and guess whom she is going to have by her side?” I ask Jen with a little smirk playing on my lips. “Felicity and Romeo King.” I answer my own questions.
“I don’t understand what you’re getting at Laura,” Jen speaks now more concentrated.
“He is not going to deal with Jennifer anymore, but Aurora Fisher. He made you implicate someone, now it’s time to do the same to him, better still, have him wiped out by gang war.” My lips curl into a smile, one that has Jen staring at me in horror of just what it is I’m thinking.
“It’s time to sit back Jen and let Aurora handle this, cause it’s game time baby.” My smile fading to become solemn, as Jen let’s out an unbelievable laugh.
“Who the hell are you Laura Smith?”
