We made it back to the hospital and lose the tail we had. We made our way back to the critical wing of the hospital, mom with Piper on her hip and me with Hazel’s hand locked onto mine. Pop sees us coming down the hall and buzzes the door, asking for Luce to step out into the hall, and then comes over to us.
“Pop Pop!” Piper says and Pop comes near. He looks at Mom and then at us and all we can do is shrug our shoulders. We know just as much as he does at this point!
“Hi there princess.” Pop says and runs a hand over her head of jet-black hair, she looks just like a tiny version of the lady I’ve seen at the Diner.
