HIS QUEEN

Chapter 5

The chilly wind around them started to get wilder and wilder. The thick snow got even harder to walk on and all of this was really new to every one of them. The weather has never gone this wild or strong since the moment they all decided to settle in this location far away from the dreadful place they all came from. But this was clearly very different from what they have seen before.

"From where is all this wind coming from ?." One of the men asks Rummie as he still keeps dragging Gem back to the village to finally sentence her to death. The fear immediately started to seep in and spread around her mind as she was being dragged right back to the place she just ran away from.

Rummie, on the other hand, had no idea what he should say in this situation. He too hasn't seen something like this before and not only him but none of them have ever seen this happen before ever and for them too this has come as quite of a shock. All of them were getting closer to the village when suddenly a large amount of wind just blow past them immediately making all of them lose their balance and almost fall to the ground.

"What the hell?." One of his men said it as he and one other guy had just fallen to the ground with immense force. Some of his men tried their best to keep themselves steady and the rest of the men tried to get off of the ground and immediately start to dust themselves off and get rid of the snow. One more time all the men looked at each other questionably as none of them had any idea what just happened or what was causing all of this to happen so suddenly.

"Keep going," Rummie said looking at his men let them know they had to get this over with. But Gem she too was very much confused just like any of them. Still very much cold and in a lot of pain but she really didn't have it in her to say anything because now she was completely surrounded by fear. Even though fear was something she experienced on a daily basis this terrified her the most. Her tender heart keeps thumping louder and louder by the second and her stomach turn over and over again as she got closer and closer to the village. 

"Everyone just gets to the village quick," Rummie says it to the boys as the weather kept on getting worst and worst. 

It did not take them much time to reach the village. Some people were still trying to get home to safety and some trying to spread the word out to the people who still have no idea about any of this. It was a really chaos in here and the weather too wasn't with them. The wind around them was blowing everything in their way almost as if something immensely terrifying was going to make it's a way towards them. But surprisingly none of them even noticed any of it because of the fear they all were feeling at this very moment. They all immediately walked out of the Jungle to the main village.

The moment the men walked out the forest the people's eyes immediately landed on them and then slowly trains towards the girl one of the men was holding onto. They could also see the way they were dragging her back to the village. It was definitely not a pleasant sight to see as they all could see her struggle with them. Rummie and his men dragged her towards the middle of the village and it felt like they were parading her around before they kill her right in front of the people. Even though she was in massive pain Gem did not have it in her to open her mouth and say a word. Fear had completely consumed her and she knew if she said something thing will end up being worst for her. 

Every one eye was on them but more than them their eyes were on Gem. As a small chill ran through all of them right at the site of the princess.  And within no time all of them immediately reached the center of the village were normally everyone would gather around for celebrations. But today there was a completely different reason for them all to gather here. Rummie stood right in the middle of the street and looked at his men and nodded his head and right after that the man how was holding on to Gem's arm, he immediately let it go making Gem almost lose her balance. But she did not let herself fall and just stood there with her head down.

"Is everyone here ?." Rummie asks around while he is looking around him and he knew that people would gather immediately without wasting any time and that is exactly what happened. People started to get out of their houses and started to make their way towards the growing crowd, wanting to know what was happening. Rummie again looks around him to see if everyone was here and he also could see both fear and confusion in their eyes and this just made him feel more powerful. This made him feel more powerful than Noah and that is exactly what he wanted to achieve and ones he has killed this monster who is portraying to be innocent. He knew he will be more excepted than he was before and people would love him more than they love Noah and that is all he truly wanted.

"Looks like everyone is here." He said smirking at everyone and turns around to look at the girl. And without wasting a single second Rummie walked up to her and this sudden movement immediately terrifies her and her body starts to shake in pure horror.

Rummie immediately walks up towards her and without a warning grabs onto her arm and pulls her forward to bring her towards the center of the crowd so that every single person could have a view of this scene right in front of them. He wanted everyone to witness this and make them never forget who brought them all justice and saved them.

Killing this girl will be the highest trophy for him and this was his moment finally. 

"This is her." He said as he displayed Gem right in front of everyone and to hold her shaking body did make him feel like he was powerful and this feeling kept on growing inside of him and the moment he said this the crowned immediately backed away from her. Some people who didn't know who she was now like most of them has to fear run through their bodies. Some tried to hide their children from her too. The minute she saw this her heart broke.

"This is her, this is the one that destroyed us all." He said and suddenly drops her to the ground and with the force he had provided Gem fell with a loud thud and right on her hands as they took the first impact of the brutal act. But that did not affect her in any way, what effected her the most was those words that had just left his mouth. Gem's eyes immediately started to fill up with tears. This time she really couldn't help herself. Every word he said was true. She did do horrible things to people who didn't deserve it. 

When he heard her cry it truly surprised him and Rummie grabbed her by the hair and pulled it as hard as possible making her look right at him. Her swollen eyes were the first thing he saw and his grip on her hair got tighter just so he could hurt her even more.

The minute the people's eyes landed on the girl right in front of them, something changed in them immediately. Something was very different about her and about her ora too. Since all of them have seen the princess several times. But this time something fell off to all of them. She looked nothing like the princess at all. Not even close. This girl did not scare them. She didn't terrified them anymore or like they all hoped. There was no fear or even a small feel of fear the minute they saw her. But this could be only said for a few people as some were still really very terrified of this creature in front of them.

More and more people started to gather and the crowd got louder and louder. Rummy, on the other hand, was enjoying all of this.

"What should we do to her?." Rummie asked as he kept his eyes on her the entire time, while the crowd said nothing at all. But the murmurs continued on.

"Anyone has any suggestions?." He asked everyone one more time and this time he looked at the crowd in front of him. And a lot of anger was seen in some of their faces too. He then immediately let go of Gems hair making her head fall back down again because she didn't have the strength in her anymore.

"KILL HER." Someone said from the crowd. At this comment, Rummie had a big smile on his face. This suggestion was what he wanted people to make but this was not all he wanted. "YES KILL HER." Another voice said with anger filled in his voice and it could be clearly heard too. 

"YESS KILL THE WITCH." People started to say over and over again and at this reaction, Gem couldn't help but cry and ball her eyes out as her body starts to shake in fear and also anxiety over what they all could do to her.

She didn't want to die, she didn't want any of this. Gem wanted to be there for her people just like her father was for his people. She wanted to help her people, love her people, be there for them. But she doesn't blame them at all. Because of her all of them have lost someone they loved and this is her time to pay for all that she has done to them, even though it was something she never wanted to do.

"KILL HER."

"BURN HER."

"KILL THE WITCH, f*****g BURN HER."

"Burn her?." Rummie asks looking at the crowd and at the men and woman who said that in particular. And the people were encouraging him too as some just stood there not saying anything and not even participating in any of it. It was as if some people were not sure if this was the right thing to do but they didn't have the voice to say any of it.

"DO WE BURN HER?." He asks them all one more time and all they could say was yes. As the men and women scream as the reply. They wanted her die and they wanted to witness all of this right in front of their eyes. They wanted to see her flesh burn and melt. They wanted to hear her scream in pain just like they did when a loved one was dragged to their s*******r right in front of them. They wanted this. 

"That would be too easy don't you think ?." He said looking at the crowd as a small smirk emerges from within him. He then looked at the girl who was still on the floor crying and shaking in fear for her life. Without wasting a single second Rummie walks up to her and from the corner of her eyes she could see him walk up to her too. This made her immediately look at him and back away from him. But suddenly Rummie stopped on his track with his eyes wide open like he had just figured out sometime at that very moment.

He looks at his men for a split second and then looks at the girl.

"Hold her." He said to the men and without wasting a single second two of them immediately walked up to her and held on both her arms and held her as tight as possible. Making sure she was not able to move as they very well knew Rummie was onto something horrible for the girl. But Gem her body started to tremble in fear. She wanted to get out of their grip because they had held onto her with such power it felt like they could just break her arms into pieces right there and then. All she could really do was wince at the pain but even her voice had started to tremble now just like her body did.

Still struggle and trying to get out of their grip as it wasn't at all working for her, not one bit. Her mind was filling up with anxiety and that was killing her mental state. All she knew is she was going to die but was going to have a very slow death and there was nothing she could do about it. 

"Where is he going?." Someone asks it out loud and all the people could do was look at every movement. People were truly confused by his behavior but Rummie on the other hand just walked towards the crowd and started to push his way out of the circle. 

"MOVE." He said and kept on pushing past the people as all they did was look at him. Still not knowing what he was trying to accomplish. The moment he is out of the crowd his eyes started to find something. Something in particular. 

"Where is it ?." He asked himself and continued to find what he really wanted and right then his eyes pop open the moment his eyes landed on the particular thing he was trying to find and a small smirk was placed on his face immediately. He walked up to it as the people still stood there waiting for him to do something. They had absolutely no idea what he was up to. As their eyes were still very much stuck to him. Rummie bent down and took something and got up again and turned around. This time he has something in his hand.

Now the people looked at him in shock. They saw a burning hot rod in his hand. It was a long steel rod and at the other end it hands a circle for a shape and it looked extremely hot as that particular end was red in color and had smoke around it. 

Now that he had what he was looking for Rummie makes his way back to the crowd and rushes back into the circle to get what he had planned started. But this time when he started to make his way towards them the people immediately started to make space for him. And the moment he walked into the circle, now everyone could see the reason he had walked away. Some people truly feared for the girl but some were very much fine with what was happening and what would happen in the future. All they wanted was justice they all were denied before and this was what she truly deserved.

At this time most of the people had started to scream and encourage Rummie for what he was doing. It looked like at this point he could do whatever he wanted or pleased and no one would question him. 

But Gemma, on the other hand, she had no idea why everyone was screaming and yelling. Her heart started to beat so fast that her chest began to hurt and her hands went numb immediately without any warning of any sort. Her eyes trained towards what everyone was looking at and that is when she sees it. Her breath gets caught up and she starts to struggle to breathe like she normally did. The rode in his hand sent shivers down her spine.

"no." A small c***k of a voice came out of her mouth. She tries to get away from the men holding onto her small arms but there was no use to this. Their grip on her didn't loosen up one bit but only got tighter and harder making her wince.

"no." She tried to say but a small whisper of a voice can't be heard. She tried to back away from him but it looks next to impossible.

"NO..O no." She tried to say it again with a small force put into her voice but no one would listen to her. No one even tried to listen to her. And without wasting another second Rummie rushed towards her.

"Stay still princess." The man holding her said smirking at her as he truly enjoyed the princess fear all of them. 

Rummie immediately reached her and the first thing he did was grab her hand from the man who was holding it and right there and then placed the burning hot rod right on her palm.

"NOOOOOOO AHHHHHHHHHHHHH." Gem immediately starts to scream the moment it came in contact with her hand. "AHHHHHHHHHH." She continues to screams in agony. She wanted someone to help her but at this point, her thoughts were so out of place and the only thing she could think of was about the pain she was enduring the entire time. It felt like she was going mad because of the pain she was feeling.

Right after seeing this the people immediately stopped screaming and chanting the moment they saw what just happened. These people were not cruel in nature and have never done anything like this before to anyone. They have never done anything bad to anyone before this and the moment they all heard her painful screams something suddenly changed in all of them as they felt like this was too much. All they wanted her dead and gone but this was all too much, even for them.

Rummie immediate lifts the rod from her hand.

"AHHHHHHHHH AH PLE...ASE." Gem again screams in agonizing pain when the freshly burnt skin comes into contact with air. Her senses are everywhere.

The pain that she had to endure for some seconds made her feel like she had gone through that much pain for hours and it felt like never-ending to her. 

"P....leas.....e" She tried to say it again for someone to hear but deep inside her, she knew none of them are truly going to help her now. They all wanted this to happen to her and they wanted to see her in pain. 

"Plea...see..... Sto....p....p" She wanted them to stop. She wanted all of this to stop. Gem immediately balled herself on the ground as she continues to cry in pain as her skin starts to burn more and more and all the people could really do was see this all happen right in front of their eyes. The people look at each other as some feeling bad for the girl and some just enjoying what was happening. 

"We are not done yet." He said loud enough for everyone to hear and also for the princess to hear and the moment she did Gem started to cry out louder, this time she didn't have any control over her own self. Her mind was shut down and only fear was all she knew now.

"Hold her, don't let her go." He said this one more time to them and again without questioning Rummie, his men walked up to the girl who is still balled up on the floor crying her eyes out in pain she was still in. His men immediately pulled her by the shoulder and this terrified her one more time.

"no..ooo ple...ase." She begged them as the men had held onto her as tight as possible. Rummie, on the other hand, started to look around him one more time.

"You, come here." He looks at a boy who was about seventeen years old or so and even the boy was shocked when he called him out suddenly out of nowhere.

"M...me?." The boy said panicking a little bit.

"Yes, you boy. Go get me that." Rummie said pointing directly at something which made everyone look at what he was directing at. And the boy too turned to look and that's when he understood what he had to get for him and this scared him too. He didn't want to be a part of any of this but clearly, the kid didn't really have a say in any of this. It was a bunch of thick woods burn.

"I don't have all day kid. GO GET IT." His body immediately shakes in fear and he does exactly what he was told. The boy walked up and slowly picked up the burning wood and held it in his hand looking directly at it as his heart started to beat so fast he felt like his heart would burst out of his chest. Now without wasting a second he turned back around and started to make his way towards Rummie. And the kid at this time was sweating badly and his hands started to shake in fear and slowly his eyes landed on the girl who was still crying in pain and this affected him more than he can imagine.

He had now reached Rummie and handed over the burning wood to him and slowly backed away from him.

"Good boy." He said and looked directly at the princess happy to see how he had affected her and this did make him feel like an alpha. Seeing her this scared and in pain made him feel strong and more powerful than ever. And the people, they just looked at him in horror.

Gem too looked at him as her own eyes now had popped open. She was now in shock. her body sparked up and she started to fight to get out of this grip and this time the men had a little difficulty holding on to her. 

"DO IT RUMMIE." One of his men said encouraging him to go through it and burn her. And he just did that. Rummie started to make his way towards the princess with anger in his eyes for her.

"NOOOO PLEA...SE. PLEASE." She started to scream her lungs out begging for them to stop as still still continued to free her self from them. 

"PLEASEEEEE NOOOOO." She said one more time when she saw how close he was to her and right at that moment she immediately shut both her eyes and just tell it to happen. While all the people just looked at the scene right in front of them in horror. Before he could even reach the girl Rummie felt something or someone suddenly pulls him back and the force of it was so harsh that he fell on the ground with a loud thud. A loud scream comes from his mouth as he had just dislocated his shoulder because of the major impact with he hit the ground. 

"WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?." A thunderous voice immediately made even one shake in fear. Everyone's eyes were on their chief now. Noah looked furious as his brown eyes had now turned darker it seemed like. Noah was here and he looked furious, he looks really angry. Rummie tries to get up but before he could Noah immediately pulled him making him stand up and held him by the collar and this time Rummies eyes were filled with fear and he had started to sweat. 

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?."Noah asked him.

"Noah she.." 

"What is happening here?." An older voice echoed and thee people turned around to look just to see Nana stand there look at all of this in horror and discomfort. Nara was not just someone. She was the oldest and the most respected woman in the entire village. Everyone loved her and also feared her a little bit when they had too. And right now she was extremely angry to see what was happening right in front of her. 

"Why are you holding that poor girl like that. Let her go immediately." She said looking at the boys and they did exactly as she said to them. It was more like none of them really had a choice now and they did want to get in any more trouble what so ever and let the girl go, making her fall back onto the ground.

Immediately Gem again curled back into a ball and stayed there, too afraid to move or do anything at this point. Her sobs won't stop not even for one second. 

And this broke the old woman's heart and she slowly walked up to the girl, bent down a little and slowly placed her hand on her shaking shoulder and this immediately startled Gem but Nana didn't move her hand away from her shoulder.

She slowly tried to pick the girl up. Even though Gem was very much afraid something in her heart made her cooperate and she looked up and her eyes met the old lady's eyes. The moment Nana looked at her eyes her heart just melted. Her eyes reminded her of someone. There was something about her that made Nana feel this way. She thought that the girl had the most beautiful eyes even though they were filled with tears, they had some sort of charisma in them and this truly affected her. She looked so naive and innocent.

"Get up." Nana said to the girl and all she did was shake her head indicating "no".

"They won't do anything to you." Still feeling weak and tired and still crying because of the pain she had just endure. Gem tries to get up and sit down right next to her and right at that very moment Nana pulled her closer and hugged her close to her chest, holding her tight.

This small gesture shocked Gem for a split second as she has never felt something like this before in her entire life and right there and then Gem burst but. She just burst up into tears. Crying for everything, crying for all the pain she had to go through all her life. Crying for all the things she had to go through all her life and she cried for everything.

"You are okay. you are okay." Nana kept on repeating herself and Gem just stayed there crying on her shoulder. All Nana did was stroke her hair in the attempt to calm the girl down. Nana could feel her body getting heavier and heavier by the second which could only mean that she was slowly falling asleep or fainting. And that was true. Gems body had completely given up by now, this is all she could truly take. Gems mind too wanted to shut down for some time and that's exactly what it did. Gems eyes closed and that was it. She could now at least rest for some time. 

"Sleep love," Nana said still holding her close. Noah on the other hand still had Rummie and he turned around to see the girl in Nana's arms but he couldn't see her face. It was covered with her hair and she couldn't see her. 

"You both don't get it," Rummie said making both of them look at him confused.

"What are you talking about?." Noah asked him as he had calmed down just a little bit.

"She is the princess Noah." He said so and immediately Noah let go of him making him fall to the ground and he slowly turned around to look at Nana and then the girl in her arms. And all Nana could do was stare at the sleeping and innocent looking girl. She didn't want to believe it but she also didn't know what to do. Nana slowly lifted her head to see Noah as he just looked at the girl with a blank expression. She knew what was running in his mind right now because she knew Noah that well. He is the one who has suffered the most because of the girl sleeping right in front of him.

He has suffered. He has lost too much.
