HIS QUEEN

Chapter 2

Both of them left the chamber and now are making their way towards the main entrance of the castle. The doors were closed and so were all the windows and they were properly being guarded by their most trusted guards. The moment they reached the end of the stairs the queen nodded her head towards one of the guards and he understood as he always did and already knew what to do.

He immediately started to make his way towards the largest main doors. They were large wooden doors that were carved in the most beautiful way possible and it also showed the unity of the kingdom or what it once was and what it stood for. With the help of seven more guards, they opened the enormous doors which were harder than anyone can imagine. And it opens making the loudest noise possible and the sound echoed throughout the castle sending chills to everyone present.

The moment the doors opened a chilly wind just rushed in. Even making one of the guards forcefully step back. The wind outside was stronger than ever and they revealed the crowd right in front of them and the castle. The scared crowd feared for their lives. They knew today one of them could be next. One of them could be the next human sacrifice. Another family member went and today another grave will be dug.

The sound of the doors opening alarmed everyone and the moment the crowd saw the queen walkout, they immediately stopped what they were doing and just stood, still. No one was screaming. No one was yelling. No one with begging to let them go. They stood still holding onto their loved ones because that is all they could really do.

The only sound they all could hear was the sound of owls and eagles and the harsh wind blowing. The princess slowly walked out of the castle and the sound of her shoes clicking on the wooden floor was very loud and clear. Everywhere immediately bent down their heads the moment they all saw the princess, trying not to make eye contact with her. But she only got closer and closer to the people who gather around by the guards.

She within seconds reached the queen. The queens' eyes lands on Gem and her smile grow even more. she saw death in her eyes and that made her feel good, really good.  

"It is very kind of you all to join us here today."

She said smirking at the people who stood there in fear. 

"Why aren't all of you happy today?."

She asked all of them like it was no big deal.

"Today is our beautiful princess's birthday. It's a celebration."

She said walking closer towards the crowed with her dominance radiating everywhere. She could see how everyone was backing away from her and she loved this. This is what she has always wanted.

"It's very unpleasant and this is not how a celebration should look like."

She said walking towards a girl who was shaking in fear and the queen slowly walked and reached her and stood right in front of that poor soul. And the girl was still shaking as if she was going to faint at any time. 

"I don't think the king would have liked any of it and thank goodness he is not here to see all of this. This is his only child, his daughter. The only heir to this beautiful kingdom." She said looking up at the sky, again smirking, knowing that she had already won.

"But no worries, the sharing, and the screaming will soon begin." Despite the fact that she said it as a whisper, everyone could hear what she said and this caused everyone to started panic again. 

"Come here, my love." She said Gem and extended her hand towards the princes. Without any hesitation, she walked up towards the queen and stood right next to her but she did not take her hand that she had offered. The demon inside her had full power now and no one can tell her what to do anymore. The queen slowly places both hands on her shoulders and planted a small kiss on the forehead.

"I will find someone for you my Gem, just like I always  do."

She said and of course did not wait for an answer, knowing she wouldn't get one from the demon. The queen slowly made her way towards the crowd and slowly into the crowd and the moment she walked into the crowd they immediately started to move away from her, giving her space and this made her feel empowered just like she always feel around them. Every time she got closer towards someone a sense of shiver ran in the spine. She has completely consumed them. But she was just strolling around looking for the next victim. Looking for the one who will keep her strong and powerful forever and this dirty work was done by the princess.

she searched and kept on searching but still, she couldn't find anyone or what she wanted and then immediately her eyes landed on a very young lady and she was beautiful, young and really breathe taking. Her hair was red and they touched her hips. With her golden eyes, she completely captured the queens' attention. the woman immediately turned to reveal a baby in her arms and her eyes immediately sparkle up. She knew this would be the first but she had to do this, She just had to do this no matter what. It felt like butterflies were flying in her stomach and all of this only for her youth and power. Slowly she walks towards the young woman and her baby and the minute the lady sees the queen walk towards her, the lady held her baby closes to her chest.  she kept mumbling. She kept on praying to the god, she prays to God to save her and her baby and that's all she really wanted.

The queen immediately stood right in front of the woman and her baby and the guards all of them surrounded the woman so that she doesn't run away from the queen.

The queen slowly places her hand on her cheeks cupping her face and bringing it closer towards her. And she slowly planted a small kiss on her cheeks making the woman shake in extreme fear. Her grip on her child has gotten extremely tight in her arms.  

"Please." She said to the queen as the Queen slowly backs away from her. She looks deep into the girls' eyes tell her.

"This has to happen." She said making the girl cry out loud, this completely broke her spirit. All she wanted to do was hold onto her baby as close to her as possible. But what happened next completely shocked her and each and every person. The queen slowly grabbed onto the baby pulling it away from her mother, making the baby cry for his mother. 

"No no no NOOO NOOOO." She said but immediately the guards held onto her and their grip on her was extremely tight. She was not going anywhere.

"No NO NO NO." She screams her lungs out which makes everyone else cry around her too. This was just too heartbreaking for all of them. Ans none of them could really do anything about it. They all feared for their families. She tries to get away from the guards and out of the grips but their hold on her was so tight that her hands immediately started to turn blue but she truly didn't care about herself at all at this point. She just wanted her baby.

"TAKE ME. TAKE ME PLEASE." She screams again making her throat hurt more than ever. But the queen doesn't stop no, she keeps on walking even though she can hear it all. The queen really didn't care about anyone but herself. She doesn't say or do anything but holds on to the baby like it's his own and takes him away from his mother. The baby was still crying, screaming and stretching his arms towards his mother, wanted his mother. 

"Ple......ase not my bab....y PLEASE." She screams for no one to listen to her.

"Pl.....ease." No one could do anything about this even though they truly wanted to help her. But the fear grew more and more each second. Everyone held onto their children as close as possible still crying at what was happening right in front of their eyes. They all felt very sorry for that young lady. The way she was screaming for her child truly broke all of their hearts. Anyone could feel it. Even her baby was screaming for her. The queen slowly made her way towards the princess who starting exactly where she stood, not moving a tall, and all she would do is look right ahead of her as a ghost. The queen reaches the princess as the baby's scream started to get even louder and louder. 

"Ssssshhhhh." She said to him slowly rubbing his small back. Gem slowly turns towards the queen and her eyes slowly land on the infant and for a second for a split second something shifts in her. The demon was completely pushed aside and now Gem felt something, but it only happened for a split second. And immediately the demon was back and her eyes again turned pitch black just like before. She slowly walked towards the queen and slowly grabbed on to the baby which made the baby immediately calm down a little bit. Everyone could still hear the women scream and clearly, the queen and the princess did not care about her. Without wasting a single second Gem turned around with a baby in her arms and started to make her way towards the castle again. 

The queen slowly follows right behind her. And the baby has now completely calmed down and was now relaxing in her arms. The minute both of them walked into the door and in the castle, the doors started to immediately close right behind them. And it will only be opened the next year. Only next year right on this day, only on this day. As the doors started to close up the woman freed herself from the guards and ran towards the door but even before she could reach half the way the doors had already closed with her baby just inside. Completely heartbroken she collapsed on the ground as her body completely gave up, screaming and crying while the guards started to leave and walked back to the castle leaving the people right there. The people all of them were truly shocked and traumatized for the rest of their lives.

Back in the castle Gem started to make her way up the stairs to her chamber with the baby in her arms. The guards standing on the stairs were too shocked to see the princess holding the baby and this immediately brought a sense discomfort within them and truly this was one of the most horrible things they all had to witness no matter what. Knowing that this had to happen and the sacrifice had to take place no matter what. They didn't even know how long they could look at all this. The three of them reached her chamber and then the balcony was they always conduct the sacrifice. Slowly making her way towards the edge of the balcony with the baby still in her arms.  The queen walked in right behind her. but still keeping the distance from the demon. When she does try to drink the blood from the baby and just stands there doing nothing the queen immediately steps up.

"What are you thinking?." She asks her but got no answer to her question. stepping a little closer towards her the queen slowly whispers something in her ear. 

"You need to do this Gemma. You have to do this." She said it and her voice came out like a small whisper. Right after she said so the queen could hear the demon growl and the growl brought chills throughout her body. Even though she put the curse on her she had no idea how intimidating Gem and demon could be. But she slowly pushed all these feelings aside and slowly backed away from Gemma and turned around to walk back into the room. Knowing the demon was ready and all she truly had to do was wait now. 

The minute she walked into the room the queen immediately closed the door and locked it right behind her. and right after that very moment, she could hear the demon growling as loud as possible and that sound echoed through the walls so loud it almost shattered the mirrors in this room. Slowly she started stepping away from the door and immediately she could feel it. Just like she did every year. She could feel the young blood rush into her body and everything was heightened, she could even feel the muscles grow stronger and stronger. The blood running through veins was making her feel powerful. Just like every time and she could feel her powers increase more and more by the second. It all immediately stopped the feeling stopped and the blood rushing in stopped immediately and she slowly opened her eyes with a small smile on her face. That small smile slowly crept in knowing it was all over and her powers have grown while the life on the other side was completely drained. 

Without thinking much of anything the queen slowly walked out of the chamber, feeling powerful, strong and ready for anything in the world. She didn't care what would happen next and she truly cared very little for Gem.

"Do you think she is dead ?."

"I don't know."

"Well then check if she is breathing."

"I don't want to touch her, I'm scared, what if she is really dead ?."

"What If she is dead, don't be like Neio."

"Be a man for once and do it."

There where about three men standing right in front of Gem. one man who looked older than the rest of the men stood back looking at the girl covered in snow right in front of him. The man had brown hair with strong facial hair too. He was well built up and looked positively stronger than both right next to him. And he also held a few goods of his own too, he was holding much heavier supplies and apparently was very much able to do so and right next to him was strong too but not as much and with a dear he was carrying on his shoulders he was getting a tad bit impatient because of the hunger which he couldn't even withstand, not even a bit.

Neio was much smaller than both of them and seeing someone new definitely scared him.

"Mar please do it, I don't want to."

he said to the most built-up guy out of all of them. Mar looked at the girl again one more time and threw all his heavy loads down on the ground immediately. He walked up towards her and sat down right in front of Gem. Slowly moving his hair out of his face. He one the other hand did not have any debate about any of this in his mind what so ever. The minute he reached her Mar immediately bent own right in front of her, while the rest of them just stood there watching it all happen right in front of them. 

Mar slowly moved the snow off of her face and his movements were very very slow. He truly didn't know if this woman was dead or alive and if she was he didn't want to hurt her at any cost. The moment his hand touched her cheeks he could immediately feel a little bit of heat in her. Surprisingly she had warmth in her, and this truly shocked him more than anything. His hands start to move faster and he immediately placed his hand right in front of her nose and her small breath coming in and out of her was very frequent and smooth.

"Jo is alive." He said frantically looking at the men behind him.

"What ?." Jo said as he literally threw the dear off of his shoulder making this dead animal land in a thud on thick snow. He rushed towards his friend kneeling down on the ground, he touched her hand to feel her body was still warm.

"How is this even possible?, she is covered in snow how in God's name is she still alive ?." Neio asks slowly moving away from all of them.

"We don't know."

Mar answers him immediately removing snow off of her body with the help of Jo. Gem, on the other hand, was slowly and slowly turning almost blue. The men knew once she woke up she would start feeling pain all sorts of pain and they did feel bad for her. They knew snow can be beautiful and at the same time, it can be really dangerous at the same time.

"What are we going to do now ?." Neio asks Mar.

"We are going to take her to the village."

"Why?."

"You don't expect us to leave her here do you ?." Jo replies to him standing up and dusting himself off as Mar slowly picks up Gem in his arms and he tried to be as slow as possible with her and in efforts to not try to hurt her in any way.

"There is only one way to save her," Mar said as he started to walk with Gem in his arms and he was making his way towards the village. As he walks past the man Jo immediately picks up the dear and most of Mars stuff on his shoulders and starts to follow him as Neio just stood there looking confused as every. His eyes were just stuck to them, clearly, he didn't even know what to do.

"Well come on," Jo says when he turns around to look at him.

"I cannot believe she is still alive, she should have died. She should be dead." Neio said and started to make his way towards them. when nobody answered he took the hint and started to walk again but the moment his eyes landed on the girl Neio could again see how blue she was turning and how she was slowly looking like a ghost. He immediately took off one of his jackets that he was wearing and placed it on Gem with the efforts of keeping her warm and not let her die. Though he wasn't very happy about all of this, he did want to help her.

"Do you think Noah will be upset about this ?."Neio asked walking closer towards the rest. 

"Yes, yes he is going to be mad at us," Mar said smirking at him, quite enjoying this.

"Then why are you taking her."

"Because we can't leave the poor girl here all by herself. This time she will surely die." Jo said and Mar immediately spoke up.

"Noah will understand Neio, he would have done the same thing." He said looking at Neio as he could just nod his head understanding him.

After what Mar said Neio relaxed lit, but just a little bit. And the men slowly continued to make their way towards the village, not making a conversation anymore. All they could hear was their own footsteps and the howl of the harsh wind. They also had no idea who this woman was or what she was doing her in the first place. But their journey still continued on to their village that stood far far away from the dreadful kingdom the once lived in
