“If you don’t mind, I’d like to refresh myself in my guest quarters after my long journey,” I say lightly. Then I turn to the princess and give her my most charming smile. “Will you kindly show me the way, Princess Izzy?”
“Gladly,” she replies, and I take her by the arm once more. But before we can get away, her older sister the Queen Luna says we are required to have a gamma with us. Which turns out to be not one, but two gammas! An elderly black gamma wolf and a trainee gamma. Drat, that spoils my plans to be all alone with the Princess! But I’m confident that we will find many opportunities this week to get acquainted well enough.
