“Wonderful news,” mother says brightly as she practically swirls into the hospital room, and I brace myself for whatever nonsense my mother has decided is good news this time. She does love to have some drama in her life, particularly if she is placed smack dab in the middle of it all. “Queen Luna Amelia believes that Princess Janette is pregnant with your pups!”
