I never thought that I would have to pay such a huge price for rejecting the mate bond. Dad should have thought about me and what I was going through, but instead, he took Chris’s side.
Rage flowed into my veins and I kicked the chair I was sitting on before storming out of Dad’s office and slamming the door behind me. As I walked down the hallway, I saw Brian on his way to Dad’s office. Using him to blow off my steam, I purposely slammed myself against him and made him tumble to the ground.
