Lexi’s POV With empty hands, we returned to the mansion disappointed. The journey back to the mansion was silent. Chris did not utter a single word and just kept looking at the bloody paper while I was driving with my eyes glued to the road. We did not get to catch our target, but we got a clue that turned the whole situation into a puzzle. All we knew was that whoever was playing with us and wanted to kill Chris knew about his birthplace and his parents, or it could be a mere coincidence.
