Clearly the way to get her to open up a bit was to challenge her. The way she talked, and argued, about the Broncos taught me that she got the obsession from her dad and Ben’s dad. Her favorite players were all running backs. The way she criticized Belichick’s coaching strategies told me a little about the way she organized her own players and strategies.
She also got a growl from me when she told me about all the players who asked her out when she had the Broncos come practice on her fields. She was animated and witty as she challenged me. She could take a hit and spit it right back.
Time flew and in no time we were in front of my first location.
