Chapter 4

After things had settled down Bella and I headed back inside to start setting up things for our trip. We planned to leave late tonight which would land is in Washington early the next morning. From there we would rent a car and head to our home in Forks. "Edward." Alice called mentally from the next room. I was at her side in seconds. "What is it?" I asked as I peered into her mind only to find whips of extremely blurred faces. Alice shook her head slowly, doing her best to keep focused on what little bit she could see in her vision. "I- don't know Edward. It's too blurry so I can't exactly see. It's like they aren't really there." She finished in an uneasy voice. "Are the children in danger?" Esme asked as she came into the room, holding her hand was Jennifer. I had half forgotten that we had taken Jennifer under our wing which made me feel slightly bad. "Not that I know but I'm focusing everything I have to try and figure it out." Alice replied. I saw it seconds before she was able to comprehend it. There were three females, all with brown hair and golden eyes. They were running through the woods, the greenery was familiar because it was the woods that surrounded our home. Alice blinked several times before she looked to Esme. "We have company." She whispered before she ran outside with Jasper following behind her. After everyone else had left the house to go and great the new comers I waited for Bella who was gathering Jake and Renesmee from upstairs. Taking my wife's hand I started out the front door. The four of us made our way to the front of the crowd and took our stand with the family. Just in time too as three women emerged from the shelter of the trees. The female in the center led the two other females that flanked her sides towards us and stopped when they were twenty yards away. "I'm Zelda and these are my sisters Rhiannon and Samara. We overhead your predicament from our friends in the sss and decided to lend a helping hand." Zelda spoke. Carlisle took a step forward. "Welcome." He began. "This is my wife Esme, our children Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, Edward and Bella. As well our grandchildren Matthew, Penelope, Renesmee and Jennifer." Carlisle introduced. I heard Samara's thoughts grow nervous as she eyes Renesmee and Jennifer. She, like our other friends, assumed the worst when it came to the children. "They aren't what you think." I explained. Renesmee grabbed my hand as I went started to talk. "Daddy, it will be easier if I showed them." She said to me. Before I could deny she walked across the clearing. She rose her hand to touch Zelda's face. "I promise it won't hurt." Renesmee whispered before she made contact with Zelda's face. I watched as Remesmee showed her everything. The first memories she had in the womb, the birth, seeing her mother for the first time, her dreams... When it was over Zelda was mesmerized. "Fascinating, you must show my sisters." She said eagerly. I waited patiently for Renesmee to show the others and then I called her back to the shelter of the family. Clearing my throat I began to speak. "My family is in grave danger and the only way we know to save ourselves is to get rid of the Volturi coven once and for all." I waited for a few seconds before I continued. "You say you can be of help? Show me how." I asked. The three looked at one another before Zelda took a step forward. Just like Alice, I watched her eyes glaze over. "You say you can be of help?Show me how." I asked. I wrinkled my forehead, scrunching my eyebrows together as the feeling of dejavu swept over me. "If your wondering whether or not you've said that before the answer would be yes. I have the gift of Chronokenesis, I alter time." Zelda said, her words perfectly spoken. Samara looked at Zelda who nodded. Both Rhiannon and Zelda walked over to our sides and waited silently. After a few seconds I noticed the air around us seemed thicker and I felt like I was being squeezed. Slowly the sound of a whistle began, climbing higher and higher in its tune before it was belling in a irritating soprano tone. Then all went silent before Samara exploded. I wrapped my arms around Renesmee seconds before debris flew at us at a speed that turned it into dangerous shrapnel. After it had cleared I turned around just in time to witness Samara piecing herself back together. Once she was whole again her sisters rejoined her side. "My sister Samara is a nitrokenetic. She can make things explode and reverse explosions." Zelda explained. Next it was Rhiannon's turn. "I can't show you my gift but I can tell you." She began. "She is totally imperceptible, and as such can in no way be detected or communicated with by external forces unless she allows it. She cannot be physically or mentally harmed, cannot be smelt and give off no heat, yet the space she occupies has no lack of it. She is completely inaudible and makes no sound to outsiders and cannot be touched or seen. To all intents and purposes, Rhiannon does not exist." I explained in detail. "Can you make others like yourself?" Bella asked immediately. "I mean can you use your gift to shield others." I saw from the corner of my eye as Bella took Renesmee's hand. "I always have, my sisters I keep under my shield but its not as strong so we can be traced but not pinpointed." Rhiannon said. "Which explains my vision and why they were so blurred until they allowed us in." Alice said, her voice excited from her recent discovery and exception to her gift of precognition. So we had three more allies, three more powerful allies. Things were looking slightly better. Maybe we could survive.
