Chapter2

Sylvester Pov All these stupid Alphas were getting on my nerves. I applied some pressure to my forehead, hoping it would stop the headache that was coming. I looked at where my twin was sitting, and his face mirrored my expression. I heard his voice in my head, “Why are these Alpha’s bickering like kids?. It wouldn't be like this if we had an Alpha king.” “Yes, very true. They all seem to have forgotten why we are here. Especially these old and senile ones,” I concurred with him. “It's been three days, and we are yet to reach a reasonable agreement. All we have done has been to argue over stupid stuff. I am tired of listening to their sorry asses.” Xander complained. I looked at him and knew he was close to losing his cool. He was the dominant and crazy twin, and I was the voice of reasoning, but at this point I supported whatever he did. A loud bang is heard, causing everyone to turn towards where the sound originated from. “We are here to discuss the disappearance of wolves from different packs, not to quarrel among ourselves like pups.” This caused the other Alphas to growl, showing their annoyance at being called pups, but no one dared to say anything because of our reputation. We were the feared Alpha twins. “It is better for this meeting to be adjourned, and we will continue tomorrow, and by then, hopefully, you will all start acting like Alpha’s and not some pups at a tea party.” He snapped at them and stormed out of the room; I followed him immediately. “Thank you for that.” I clapped him on the back. “I just want to go home.’ He replied, looking somewhat agitated. “Me too; I keep getting a feeling that something is going on in the pack. My wolf has been restless.” “Mine too. Let's go for a run; maybe that will help.” ……… “You look terrible.” Was the first thing my twin Xander said when he saw me the next morning. “I could say the same for you. I didn't get any sleep last night. My wolf is so restless.” I groaned, tired from the sleepless night. “I didn't either. And he is refusing to tell me why he is so restless; his only reply is home. It's not the first time we have been away from the pack, so I don't get why it is this different this time.” I sighed tiredly. “I will do everything in my power to make sure we finalize every plan today and go home. We need to go find out what's going on in the pack.” He said, increasing his pace. I nodded my head in agreement. We entered the room, and the other Alphas were already there. “Let's not waste further time; we all have packs to get back to,” Xander bellows. Everyone voiced their agreement with that. Xander began. “I personally believe that all Alpha should bring out 20 wolves from their packs, and a training camp will be held by the Crimson pack. They are the best in security. They will help these wolves grow their strength, speed, and knowledge of security. After that, these wolves will return to their pack to become border patrol. All we need is to capture one or two of these wolves who have been kidnapped from our pack members. Once we achieve that, we can get information from them and forge ahead from there.” He sat down, signaling that he was done with what he had to say. Other Alphas agreed with him, and finally we were free to go home. “Stone!” I called our Gamma. “Yes, Alpha.” He answered, bowing slightly. “I and Xander will run back to the pack. Our wolves are restless, so it's better to run. Drive back to the pack along with the other warriors.” I instructed him. “Yes, Alpha.” He turned and left. Xander and I change out of our clothes, put them in a bag, and change to our wolves. We pick up the bag with our mouths. Our pitch black wolves spring free. They are twice as large as the normal Alpha wolf, which is why the other Alpha's fear us. We race through the woods, letting the breeze run through our fur. The sound of our paws hitting the ground was like music to our ears. I felt a slight strain in my head telling me that Xander was trying to mindlink me. I let down my barrier, and I heard his voice in my head. “Why do you think our wolves are restless and eager to get back to the pack?” He asked. “Hopefully it's nothing serious. If it was serious, we would have gotten a call from mom or our beta Tom.” “That's true.” He replied, his voice fading out. The moment we reached the border, a delicious scent hit my nose. “Do you smell that?” I mindlink Xander. “Yes, it smells like chocolate mixed with vanilla.” He replied, sniffing the air. We dropped the bags and changed back from our wolves to our human side and wore our clothes. Immediately, wolves appeared from the woods and greeted us. “Welcome Alpha!!!” They all chorused. We both hurried towards the scent, and it led us to the hospital in the pack. We exchanged looks, wondering why the scent was leading us there. We entered and saw our sister Lexi; she hugged us happily. “I have missed you both,” she smiled at us. “We were away for just four days, not a year.” Xander snapped. This caused her to pout and shift away dejectedly. “I am sorry.” Xander apologized when he saw her almost crying face. “My wolf has been restless and agitated.” “What's wrong? Why are you both so agitated?” She asked, worried. She might be our younger sister, but she worries about us like she is our mom. It is sweet most of the time, but sometimes it just seems like nagging, and one of those times is now. “Who is in there?” We asked at the same time, as though we had rehearsed it instead of giving her a reply. “Ohh that. We found someone in the secret enchanted garden. She was severely injured, so we brought her here. But wait, hold up, how did you guys know someone was in there? She asked, surprised. We both immediately rush inside, completely ignoring her question again. Immediately we entered, we saw her, the most beautiful woman we have ever laid eyes on. “Mate!!!” We both growled; the noise caused her to open her eyes. And her eyes were the most beautiful pair of eyes I have seen; they were golden. I have never seen such color of eyes before. We practically ran to her side. With both of us on both sides of her neck, we breathe in her scent heavily. Our wolves finally settled down. "Hello, beautiful one.” I smiled warmly at her. My expression was mirroring that of Xander, which was very unlike him. Xander almost never smiled, but I guess our beautiful mate had that superpower. But the next thing we heard replaced the smiles with looks of surprise and confusion. “Can you both get off me? She shouted. Why are you rubbing your sweaty body on mine?” She looked pissed. I and Xander looked at each other, unsure of what was going on. “You are our mate,” Xander said to her. “Mate? What is that? Is it like friends? Wait, did I lose my memory and forget you both?.” She looked more confused than us. Xander and I exchanged looks completely confused. I extended my hand and touched her, and I felt the spark showing that she was truly my mate. “Ahhh,” she screamed, taking her hand away from me. “You should call the doctor; I think something is wrong; I just got electric shocked!.” Xander stretched his hand and kept it on her arm to confirm what he already knew to be true. He glanced at me and nodded, signaling that he felt the spark. “Oh my god, something is wrong. Doctor!, doctor! Please help, I keep getting shocked.” She screamed. If it wasn't for the seriousness of the issue, we would have laughed at her reaction. “You both should get away from me; it was after you came here that I started getting shocked.” She screamed, terrified. “She seems to be a human,” a voice said behind us.
