The others had joined me in the security room, which wasn’t quite big enough to hold so many people. Aside from Veyada and Mereeni, Isharu was there, as well as Deyu, Reida, Thayu and Nicha. And Sheydu and Naru. Anyu was squeezed in behind her, and Zyana, Sevayu and Leisha had to remain half in the hallway.
I was reminded once again that I must spend some time to talk to each of Sheydu’s people. Security personnel were notoriously reserved. It had taken me ages to get to know Evi and Telaris, and I didn’t want to repeat that failure with these people.
