Marcus
After the exhausting flight we arrived to Sicily finally. A car waited already for us and the men my father sent checked Daisy for weapons and looked at the tiny woman with a despicable expression. If you knew that she doesn't need a weapon to kick your asses... - I thought. Daisy headed to the car and Max pulled me back whispering to my ear.
- I would've loved to see their faces if they pulled the little bee over the edge. - I laughed at the memory of Max sitting om the ground defeated.
- Is your ass better now? - I asked and he scoffed.
-Let's go. - he said a bit annoyed and I sighed inhaling the scent of the city. Home sweet hell. I thought before getting in the car next to Daisy and Max. The road was quiet bumpy and Daisy continuously hit her head against my shoulders.
- Is she keeps hitting her head she's going to be dumber than she already is. - Max said and before I said anything I saw my friend's face distorted with pain.
- Max... What happened? - I asked but saw Daisy's fit lifting from Max's thighs.
- Lecture. - Daisy said softly and Max didn't say a word during the rest of the ride. When we arrived to the residence, I saw the amazement on Daisy's face. She suddenly slapped both of her cheeks and smiled sweetly.
- Showtime! - she said and we got out of the car. My father's butler, Signore Marcello greeted us and showed us to the dining room where my family already gathered. Marcello watched Daisy's every movement like a hawk and I knew my father sent him to check if we were really a couple. I pulled Daisy closer to me and said in a soft voice.
- No need to be so strict Babybee. - she blushed and played along immediately looking at me with puppy eyes and even covered half of her mouth in a cute way, like Japanese women usually did.
- But.... Honey! I want to make a good impression. What if your people think of me as a trashy woman for clinging onto you like a nuisance? - I had to swallow seeing that cute face she made and I swore her voice sounded so innocently that if I haven't seen myself what this woman is capable of, I would've pitied her. But since I was getting to know Daisy better, I just squeezed her closer to me and gave a peck to her cheek.
- Don't worry, they're going to adore you! Am I right Marcello? - the old butler looked at us and sighed. He saw so many things in this house, I guess he felt sorry for the cute looking, fragile woman next to me. His expression was something like "Just let the poor girl live". We stooped at the huge double wing door and I took a deep breath still holding Daisy close.
- Mr. Kane, Mrs Kane, Mr Marcus Kane and Miss Asano Smith had arrived, as well as Mr. Max. - Marcello announced our arrival to my parents and opened the doors widely for us. Just like the scene of an old Mafia movie. The room had dim yellow light, my whole family wore black and red. Grandpa was already sitting at the head of the table, my parents on his right. I had my suit on but Daisy wore a white summer dress with tiny little embroidered poppy flowers on the skirt. She had matching cherry red heels and she put her hair up in a high ponytail with a red ribbon. I was stunned when she walked out of the restroom before we landed. Her makeup made her big eyes even more adorable and she looked so pure. The only thing that made her look fierce was the unusual red lipstick. She released me and stepped a bit further before she bowed according to her upbringing to my grandfather. I've never seen her bow so deeply.
- Patriarch Kane, Mr and Mrs Kane, it is my outmost pleasure to meet you all tonight.- I had to control my expression. Is this really Daisy? I mean in the last two years I've never seen her so composed and calm. My grandfather extended his hand towards her and she walked there. Grandpa took a better look at her and smiled.
- No need to be so nervous Margarita. - he said and Daisy smiled at him warmly.
- Thank you, please take good care of me. - she bowed again and turned towards my parents. Mother looked at her than at me and asked in her usual teasing and cold tone.
- Did you got glued to the floor son? Why are you still standing in the door? - I walked next to Daisy and saw my father smiling. I couldn't decide if it was an approving smile or a doubtful one. Grandpa clapped and we all sat down. They brought us the dinner and Daisy ate it elegantly with perfect manners. Her eyes sparkled when she tasted something she liked and my mother started to giggle.
- Oh my dear! Just enjoy the food we don't bite!
-Unless you are a juicy steak! - grandpa added and Daisy laughed cutely.
- Tell me, Daisy, how did you meet my son? - I forgot to discuss this woth her during our flight. I was too distracted to tase her and than by her appearance. Am I becoming crazy?
- Honestly, I've fallen for him when you visited my grandfather's house fifteen years ago. - she said and my father almost spit his wine out. My mom leaned closer. She loved a good love story!
- Really? Who is your grandfather dear?
- Frank, the previous assistant of the Kane family. - my grandfather smiled happily and asked Daisy.
- How is he doing nowadays? - Daisy turned to grandpa and with a bright smile she answered.
- Great! They are enjoying their free time with grandma, since he retired, she finally stopped nagging him. - My grandfather laughed and a shiver ran down on my spine while the fork stopped in my parents hands.
- Good for him! When you speak with him next time, gave him my greetings!
- Of course Patriarch!
- This is so formal... Just call me Papa! - Our eyes met with my father and we both felt like we were watching a grotesque painting. A mafia family dining with a cotton candy.
- It would be my honor, Papa! - my mother started to laugh so badly that her tears fall. My father couldn't move and my grandfather was looking at Daisy mesmerized. When mom finally could take breath she asked wiping her tears off from the corner of her eyes.
- Dear Lord! Where did you find this one son? - our eyes met with Daisy and she grinned at me with a cheeky smile. I sighed and looked at my mother.
- Actually it wasn't really my choice, she literally fall into my arms. - the rest of the dinner was the best one of my life. What I inly saw in movies, carefree chatting, good food and great atmosphere. All thanks to this little bee next to me. She kept chatting effortlessly with my family and after dinner, my father called for me.
- Sorry Babybee, I must discuss a few things with my father. I'll meet you later. - I gave a peck om her forehead and Daisy smiled.
- Okay! See you later Honey!
