Love in the wheat field

Ch.19

After we left the restaurant, Caeleb asked if I wanted to ride around and talk. I told him that was fine because I knew he was curious as to what happened with Aaron and I. We rode around in silence for a little while before Caeleb pulled over on a dirt road that led down to a lake and he turned the truck off.

"Ok, Skyla. What happened with Aaron?"

"Well, he yelled at me and questioned where I've been. He grabbed me by the arm. I told him he didn't have the right to question me because I am now an adult. I pulled away from him after I told him I knew all about him keeping things that belonged to me from me and I knew about the money my parents left for my first car and about all the other stuff the lawyer told me and I could see he was panicking on the inside and was trying to hide it. I finally got free of his grasp and went to my room. As I was leaving, he was nowhere in sight."

"So he didn't say anything after you told him you knew about all that?"

"No, he didn't. My brother knows now that he is screwed. What else could he say?"

"He probably called the lawyer and chewed him out for telling you all that."

"Well, by law, he couldn't keep it from me, so Aaron will just have to get over it."

"Hopefully he will and you get what is owed to you, Skyla."

"Oh, I will get what is owed to me whether Aaron likes it or not. If I have to take him to court to get what is mine, then that's what I'll have to do."

"You won't be alone. I'll be right there with you every step of the way, Skyla."

"Caeleb, I'm honestly surprised that you haven't run for the fields yet."

"Why would you think I'd take off running, Skyla?"

"Well, let's see, my brother threatened you, you have those people trying to find you, and now my sh*t. It's a lot to deal with."

"Skyla, Aaron threatening me to try to keep me away from you, the stuff you have going on with your brother and my own problems, isn't enough to make me run. I care about you and I don't plan on letting anything drive me away from possibly finding love."

"Possibly finding love?"

"Yes, Skyla. There is a possibility of me falling in love and I don't want to run from something that could be the happiness that I need in my life."

"So what you are saying is you could possibly fall in love with me?"

Caeleb began to laugh and leaned in closer. He caressed my cheek.

"Yes, Skyla. It is possible for me to fall in love with you. Like I said before, I care about you and I want to see where life takes us. Ever since I laid eyes on you in the doorway when I first started working for your brother, I have felt drawn to you. I don't know what it is yet, but I want to find out, and I don't plan on letting anything get in the way of me figuring it out."

"I. I have felt the same way about you. I didn't know if it was normal or if I was going crazy."

Caeleb threw his head back and laughed.

"What is so funny, Caeleb?"

"It's cute."

"Cute? Ok then. What's cute?"

"It's cute that you are questioning if it's normal or if you are going crazy. I know you have only had one boyfriend, and you still have some things to learn about relationships."

"Oh, I still have a lot of things to learn about relationships and I hope I get to learn them while I'm with you."

Caeleb raised his brow at what I said, and I realized then what I said. I covered my face with my hand in embarrassment. Caeleb wrapped his hand around my wrist and pulled my hand away from my face.

"Skyla, you don't have anything to be embarrassed about. I'm not going to crack jokes about what you said, and I promise it didn't bother me in any way. "

"I don't know why I said that."

"I do, but I'm not going to say why."

"Please. If you know why that came out of my mouth, then tell me."

"I think you do know why, Skyla. I think you are afraid to say it or even admit it to yourself."

"I don't know, Caeleb."

"Tell me Skyla, do you want me?"

"If you mean to be with you, Yes."

"That's not what I mean, Skyla. Do you want me?"

"I don't know what you mean by that, Caeleb."

I was lying to myself and Caeleb. I knew damn good and well what he meant. I think I just needed to hear him say the words. He didn't though. Instead, he leaned forward, and his lips locked on mine. I closed my eyes and a soft moan escaped into his mouth as I opened for his tongue to enter. My eyes shot open when Caeleb grabbed my hand. I looked down without breaking free of his kiss and watched as he pulled my hand closer to him. He stopped right above his pants and I looked back at him. He was waiting for my permission. My heart began racing, and I could feel my hands starting to shake. I deeply inhaled and nodded my head. I don't think he expected me to permit him. He hesitated for a few seconds before he slowly lowered my hand. I kept my eyes on his, and I could tell by how slow he was moving, he was waiting for me to stop him. I didn't know what I wanted at this moment but I knew I didn't want to stop him. I could feel heat radiating off his body as my hand slightly brushed against the denim material. I gasped as my hand fully landed on his rock-hard crotch. I felt my cheeks burning and I eased my head back from his lips. I stared at him for a moment and then I looked down at where my hand lay.

"Do you want me, Skyla?"

"I..Uh..I.."

I began to seep. I squeezed my thighs together trying to hide what was going on, as if he had a superpower where he could see through my pants and see me seeping.

"I'm not going to ask you to do anything you aren't ready for, Skyla."

"Yes, Caeleb. I want you."

"Tell me what you want, Skyla."

"You."

"I need to hear you say what you want from me."

"I..I.. want you to t.t.take me right n.now, Caeleb."

"I won't take you right now, here in my truck, Skyla. I want your first time to be special and filled with passion. Not a quick f*ck in my truck. When the time is right, and I know you really want it, I will make it an experience you will never forget."

"How many girls have you given a memorable experience?"

My insecurities kicked in, and I lowered my head, preparing for my heart to shatter when he said how many.

"Honestly, Skyla, none."

"What?'

"None. I won't lie and say I haven't fooled around because I have, but I have never taken any of those girls to bed."
