Chapter Eleven

Both Jade and miles stared at me like I was crazy, then both burst out laughing, Jade held her stomach laughing so hard it looked like it hurt.
When they both calmed down I crossed my arms. "Are you done yet?" Miles chuckled, wiping a tear from his eye. "You really are an i***t! You refuse to fight me, yet you wanna spar with the man who's brought an entire planet to it's knees?"
I sighed. "It's not like I'm challenging him to the death or anything, just sparing. I need the training and if he's the strongest he ought to have some interesting techniques I can pick up."
Just then I heard a voice behind me which startled me. "That would be a smart plan, but you do realize people have died simply sparing with kio correct? He won't hold back unless you surrender, and if your stubborn. You WILL die."
I quickly turned around to see the glasses guy and glared. "Why are you everywhere?!" Miles laughed. "Hey Cole!" My eyes widened. so this was that Cole guy miles was scared to fight? He was the first rank?!
Jade laughed. "Who knows, he's like some kinda wizard. It's creepy." Cole crossed his arms. "Have you forgotten I'm standing right here? "Jade backed up, still grinning from ear to ear.
"I mean... No offense, but, why are you even here?" Cole scoffed. "Am I not allowed to be in the training room." His eyes stared daggers into Jade's soul and I watched her grin vanish as she slowly backed away from him.
"So... People really died just from sparing with kio?" Cole nodded. "Correct. Fourty three, and that's only the accidental deaths. If you mean is total body count all together, its uncountable." My eyes widened in shock. "That many?" Jade smirked. "Who looses count like that? Mine is 112! Easy!" Cole glared at Jade, and again her smirk disappeard. "The number is of no importance."
Miles grinned and looked at me. "What about you? Ever kill a person?" My eyes widen. "What? Of course not!" Sure I'd hurt invaders or injured them, but I could never bring myself to kill them. I only had one person I wanted dead, and that was Kio.
Cole put a hand on my shoulder. "Then in that case, fighting Kio will be a death sentence. if your not fighting him to kill him, then you will die. For even the slightest restraint with him, will cost your life."
I did want Kio dead, and planned to fight for that, but I couldn't say that, I couldn't let them know my plans or nothing would work. "fine then... If I can't spar with kio, then can I spar with you, Cole?"
Miles froze. "You i***t! Don't do that!" His voice trembled as he screamed those words. I looked at miles confused and Cole chuckled, a creepy and deathening sound.
"I'm afraid I'll have to decline any spar. Unless it's a challenge, but we both know that would only result in your death." I looked at him confused. "Why... Why won't you spar with me?"
Cole turned around to walk away. "You lost a fight with Jade, and my strength is ten times hers. I fear you'd suffer the same fate with me, as you would Kio." Before I could protest, or even decide if I still wanted to, he walked away, his steps soundless on the wooden floorboards, and as he walked, in a blink, he vanished.
Miles grinned. "So what? You can't spar him, you can still spar me!" I shook my head. "I don't fight children, sorry." Miles grit his teeth and Jade burst into laughter.
"Hear that miles? Appearently your still a child!" Miles growled and yelled in anger. "you little s**t! I'm 24!" My eyes widened with shock and I stared at miles.
"Really? But your so... Tiny?" Jade laughed louder and miles went to punch me, but I quickly teleported. "It's a medical condition you little brat!" He yelled, I sighed. I really didn't need to be on his bad side. "Sorry, I didn't know."
Miles hands were fists at his side and he gritted his teeth. "Whatever." With that, he vanished. As he vanished, I thought for a moment. at this point I'd met three of the five, but two questions remained.
"Hey jade?" Jade looked over at me. "Yeah?" I looked back at her. "What ranking is he? And who's the other person I hadn't met yet, besides Marcus?" I had to know if there was someone stronger then miles other then Cole, I'd have to keep my gaurd up if that was the case.
"Oh, he's third ranking, and fourth is a women named ash, she's actually only nineteen but her skills prove to be rather impressive!"
I nodded. So there was someone stronger then ash, if I couldn't fight kio or Cole without dying, I had to know how many of them was too far out of my strength.
"Do you think... I could spar with her? And survive? I know I'd loose... But I'd still like to try if it won't cost my life." Jade thought for a moment. "I mean, if it was a challenge she'd definitely kill you, but a spar? I think that'd be fine."
I nod. "do you think you could get her to meet me here tomorrow? So we can spar?" Jade nodded. "sure." She grinned. "I'd love seeing her wipe the floor with you anyway. See ya then!" And in a blink of an eye, she was gone.
I sighed. I should get some rest, if I couldn't learn Kio or Coles fighting techniques to use against Marcus, I'd have to use Ash's.
