Mysterious Guy

678 Words
Louis knocked on Frank's house door as he waited for someone to open it. He wanted to talk to him about something before heading for college.      The door creaked open and Frank gave Louis a surprised look. He made him enter and they both sat on the couch. "It's still so early, son"the old man frowned in confusion.      "Good morning to you too, Frank"Louis joked as he noticed how nervous Frank looked. He kept looking at the stairs with a worried look in his eyes. Louis shrugged it off and continued talking "I actually came to talk to you about what will be happening next month."     "What is it? Is everything fine?"he asked.      "Yeah. It's just that"he sighed "Next month is Denies' anniversary and we have to do something. We have to stop people from celebrating. I can't stand watching them saying on TV how happy they are. I hate them all"Louis shouted in hatred.     "I can't too. But you know they won't listen. I'm sure there's someone behind this."     "You mean just like how some people give protestors money to stay in the streets?" Frank nodded at Louis' cleverness.      "Exactly but still, we will try to stop them"Frank smiled at the 20 year old depressed boy.      "It's so sad that's there's an anniversary for her when she's not even dead"Louis muttered under his breath.      "Louis! You know she is dead" Frank suddenly felt his anger rise. He was so bored of this conversation. They had it almost every week for the past two years.      "Frank! I know she's alive. Please, help me find her. I can't go another day without her. Without her in my life I'm dying hour by hour." Tears trickled down his cheeks but Frank didn't bother with them.     "Louis! Just stop it already!" Frank took a step away from the distraught man.  "I know this is hard for you, but you have to accept it.  Are you going to make us drag you to her grave again?" Frank ran his hands through his hair as he looked away. "She's gone, and you have to realize it, or we're going to lose you too."     Suddenly, someone entered the room unexpectedly. The black haired guy stepped back, bumped into the wall and dropped his water cup on the ground. Frank had warned him about coming out of his room when they had visitors. But he didn't know someone was there.      Louis snapped his head to the strange guy and scowled. He was too familiar. His face. Where had he seen it before? He finally noticed the guy and Frank's scared faces as they were staring at each other. "Oh hi, I didn't know someone is staying at your house"He said when he noticed that the guy was wearing pajamas. He surely knew that no one would wear pyjamas in other people's house except if they weren't staying there. "Frank, who is he? He seems familiar. Have we met before?"     The old man turned and looked at Louis with a pale face. "This is umm"he thought for a moment and said "this is Lindsey's nephew. H-he is always scared around new people" Frank released a nervous breath.      "Why?"Louis asked feeling curiosity run through his veins.      "He has audacity"Frank lied. Louis could feel that he was lying. He was kind of sure that this mysterious guy wasn't Lindsey's niece and someday soon, he would find out who the familiar guy is.      Louis excused himself feeling annoyed that one of his mostly trusted friends were lying to him. Meanwhile, Frank was so sad that he didn't tell him the truth and scolded the guy for coming out of his room.      Louis headed for college and decided to keep this incident out of his mind. He would think about it later. He had more important things to worry about.
