Chapter 21 on the hunt

Anna’s P.O.V

  I woke up and had something pulled over my head, like a cover of some sort and I couldn't see a thing, but I could hear voices. They were saying something about they were almost there and to make sure the food was ready or something like that, I could only just about hear them and then everything went dark and quiet again. I felt like I had been out of it for about twenty minutes or so, but with this hood thing over my head I couldn't be sure what time of day or night it was. I felt myself being pulled out of what felt like a truck as it was high up by my feet and then being slung onto the ground, landing with a thud and nearly knocking the wind out of me. The hood was snatched off my head and I had to blink a few times to adjust to the brightness of the sun. once my eyesight had adjusted I saw the same guy from earlier and he had a smirk on his face as he brought his fist back and punched me, splitting my lip open once again.

  “That's what you get b***h for punching me earlier.” The man said and I just turned and smirked at him, spitting my blood out on his boots.

  “If you knew who my father was you would be shitting your pants right now. He's a mafia don, meaning that he's the king and I’m going to enjoy watching as he rips your heads off your shoulders.” I replied and they all just smirked at me.

  “And who is your so-called big shot dad?” The man asked, kneeling down to my height.

  “His name is Mercury.” I replied and he just shrugged.

  “Never heard of him.” The man said and I started laughing.

  “But you see that's the best part because you will once he finds your sorry ass.” I said and I could see that they were getting angry.

  “b***h if you dont shut the f**k up right now I’ll shoot you on the spot. Your voice is so f*****g annoying, but like the boss said we cant touch you until the hunt is over. The rules are there are no rules, but one. You have two hours to run and in those two hours you had better run as fast and as far away as you can because when the time is up it will be our turn. Now take this.” The man said, shoving a canteen with water inside into my hands, well I thought it was water, but how could I be sure?

  “Smell it, I think it's water.” My wolf Lizzy said and I was so happy to hear from her, but I didn't show it on my face as I didnt want them to know that I was recovering from whatever they had injected me with.

  “Get ready to shift.” Lizzy said and I could feel my body getting ready for her to come forward.

  “Now if I was you I would get to running because ten minutes have already passed.” The man said, shoving me and I quickly turned around, running away from them. I quickly shifted into my wolf and ran as fast as I could.

  “Lizzy, where have you been? I haven't heard you in my head, are you alright? Are we going to be okay?” I asked, still running as if my life depended on it, which it did.

  “Anna, I’m just as scared as you, whatever they used knocked me out too. I have been trying to link your dad's wolf since I woke up, but I can't connect to him. We are either too far away from them to link or we are still suffering the side effects from that drug, my guess is both. Any idea as to where we are going? The human said we have two hours, which does not give us a lot of time really because I can bet they know every inch of where we are.” Lizzy replied and I had no idea about any of it.

  “Lizzy, I honestly don't know, but we will figure it out.” I said, praying to the Moon Goddess for an end to this nightmare. I was rushing past trees, huge boulders and dead tree limbs when suddenly something jumped out in front of me. It was a werecat. 

  The Werecat’s P.O.V

  I accidentally jumped out in front of a werewolf, nearly causing her to collide with me. I didn't mean her any harm, I didn't even know there were wolves in this part of the woods. I watched as the wolf ran off into the woods, leaving no time for me to even say sorry. I tilted my head, but made no attempt to run after her. I had a very strong feeling of what was going on, so I went to go and find my pack. It was odd to see a wolf in these parts, but I have never seen a pure white wolf full stop. I wonder what my pack will think of this?

  Unknown Werebear’s P.O.V

  I had been hiding in this cave for three days now, the cave I once found when they first started hunting me. I couldn't stop thinking about her and I wanted to go out and see if I could see her again. It was at least a two hour run in human form, but I couldn't risk shifting into my bear because there was a chance I would be caught. I left the cave and started running as fast as I could, heading for the same spot I saw her at last time. Once I finally got there I climbed up the same tree as before, but this time I went as high as I could get, so that nothing or no one would smell my scent or see me. I looked around and everything and everyone seemed to be in uproar. There were wolves running around and then the others shifted into their wolves. 

  “LOOK AROUND! FIND ANY SCENT YOU CAN!! WE HAVE TO FIND HER!!” The one man said, barking out orders.

  “WE NEED TO FIND ANNA! THE LINK WAS BROKEN!!” The man shouted and then shifted into a huge black wolf, I was now sure that he was the Alpha of this pack. Anna, so that's her name. I waited for a few minutes until they had finished scouting the area and then left, letting me jump down from the tree. Just from the few things that man had said I was sure I knew exactly what had happened, especially when he said the link was broken. I had already escaped them in these parts earlier on and now they had taken her, but I knew exactly where they would take her and it was twenty five hours away from here. I couldn't tell them what I knew because they would either kill me on sight or they would panic and it would end up getting more people killed, even the one they call Anna. I started running towards where the area was and I have a cave I found there a few years ago, which no one knows about, I just hope that I am in time to save her. I ran as fast as my legs would let me, praying that I found her in time and I wasn't too late.
