At dinner time, I arrived in the kitchen early. Mark, the cook, was the only person in the back kitchen.
"Where's Mrs. Erin? How come you're the only one?"
"Thank the moon goddess, someone finally came to my aid. mrs. Erin had an emergency out to take care of."
"Do you need me to do anything?"
"Some of the side dishes haven't been cut yet and I need your help with them. A steak was suddenly added and I just didn't have the time."
I don't have to think about it to know why there's suddenly an extra copy, but it doesn't have much to do with me, "Okay, leave it to me."
