Luna Chiko POV I wait nervously for Kaylie and Rose behind the wheel, It feels just like back when Gabriel and I used to sneak around, stealing moments together in the kitchen pantry. His parents didn't approve of him having an omega as a mate, considering omegas is the weakness and the lowest status of the pack. They pressured Gabriel to reject me and choose a chosen mate from another Alpha's lineage or at least marry a Gamma's daughter, but not an omega. However, Gabriel refused to reject me; our mate bond was too strong. We were determined to prove that I was worthy of being Gabriel's Luna. Every night, we would secretly meet in the kitchen pantry, where Gabriel would teach me everything I needed to know to be a perfect Luna for him. I learned to fight like a warrior, etiquette, and the lineage of the Black Amous Pack. I studied everything to prove myself worthy. But Gabriel's parents remained opposed. Due to their disapproval, Gabriel and I decided to bolt from the Black Amous Pack, craving a fresh start in the human world. Gabriel had grown weary of his Alpha duties. The night we planned our escape was a whirlwind of emotions. Sneaking into the car quietly, much like Kaylie, Rose, and I are doing now, our getaway was abruptly halted by Gabriel's mother. She pleaded with Gabriel not to go and promised to speak with his father. Then came the challenge: if I wanted their approval as Gabriel's mate, I had to prove myself. I needed to show that I could hold my own in a fight against two fierce warriors from the Black Amous Pack. And on top of that, I had to demonstrate proficiency in all the skills Gabriel had been teaching me during our secret sessions in the kitchen pantry. With determination and grit, I faced the challenge head-on, surpassing their expectations. My performance left Gabriel's parents in awe. Finally, they relented, giving their blessing and officially recognizing me as the Luna of the Black Amous Pack. Remembering that night makes my heart beat faster; I hope this time, the three of us can safely leave the Blue Sapphire Pack without getting caught by our husbands or stopped by the border guards. Huh... why are Kaylie and Rose taking so long? I wonder anxiously. I can't help but hope that our plan today won't end in a similar way. Finally, the door opens, and Kaylie and Rose slide into the car, their expressions a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Sorry for the wait, Luna Chiko," Kaylie says, her eyes gleaming with determination. "Ready to embark on our adventure?" Rose adds, a mischievous glint in her eyes. I nod, trying to push away the memories of past failures. This time will be different. This time, we'll succeed. As we drive towards Black Amous Pack, my mind races with thoughts of the past and hopes for the future. I remember the nights Gabriel and I spent in secret, training and planning our escape. I remember the fear and uncertainty that filled my heart as we faced Gabriel's disapproving parents. But I also remember the strength and determination that fueled our resolve and that's thing make me smile "Why are you smiling?" Kaylie asks, sitting beside me. "I'm reminded of the time when Gabriel and I were just like this, sneaking around like we did earlier when we were about to leave the Black Amous Pack because our relationship wasn't approved," I say. "Huh?" Kaylie and Rose look surprised, their mouths hanging open. "I thought you were approved from the start?" Kaylie says, then continues, patting my shoulder,"Looks like our love stories are birds of a feather, always getting the worm of rejection when aiming for the Luna nest!" Kaylie chuckles, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Hahaha, our love stories indeed have their twists and turns, proving that becoming Luna isn't a walk in the park. Among us three, Rose's love story is smoother than a highway!" I remark, steering the car. We're about to pass the Blue Sapphire Pack border. Rose laughs at my question, then responds, "Yes, indeed, my love story with Jenson is as smooth as a highway. We didn't face rejection from our parents. But, you know, I didn't originally love Jenson. I actually fell for Kai, the gamma." "What?" Kaylie gasps dramatically. "Why didn't you ever tell me you had feelings for Kai?" "It's all in the past now. When I met you, I was already married to Jenson. I had feelings for Kai back when we were in school and training to become warriors." "So, did Kai reject your love?" Luna Chiko asks curiously. "No, I planned to confess my feelings to Kai on my 18th birthday. After blowing out the candles on my birthday cake, I ran to find Kai at the training field. There, I saw Kai kissing Adrien, his mate. It felt like my world crumbled, and I ran into the forest near Alpha Lucas's small house, where I met Jenson. That's when I felt like I was..." Rose pauses, and Kaylie finishes her sentence, "In a vacuum room." " Yes, exactly like that. At first I was head over heels for Kai, thinking he was the bee's knees. But boy, was I barking up the wrong tree! When I found out he was mated to Adrien, I felt like a fish out of water! But then, like a bolt from the blue, I realized Jenson was the one for me. It was like finding a needle in a haystack! And ever since, our love has been smoother than a greased lightning! So, you see, sometimes the path to true love is as crooked as a dog's hind leg!" Rose says with a chuckle, reminiscing about her past romance. As the laughter subsides, Luna Chiko's expression softens, her eyes reflecting a profound gratitude. "You know, ladies," she begins, her voice carrying a hint of emotion, "finding a mate like Jenson, Lucas, or Gabriel is like stumbling upon a rare gem in a vast desert. They are not just our partners, but our anchors in this tumultuous world. Through every trial and tribulation, they stand by us, unwavering in their love and support. They accept us for who we are, flaws and all, and cherish us with a love so pure and unconditional. In their embrace, we find solace, strength, and unwavering devotion. So let us treasure them, not just today, but for eternity, for they are the irreplaceable stars that illuminate the darkest corners of our hearts." With a heartfelt smile, Luna Chiko raises a toast to their remarkable husbands, echoing the sentiment shared by all three women.
