Encounter ( BOA)

Kaylie, Pov. Chiko's car is halted by the Blue Sapphire Pack border guards. A shirtless warrior with a toned physique strides confidently towards our car. "What a view," Luna Chiko remarks in awe. "Yes, I wonder why all the men in Blue Sapphire Pack look like GQ male models, so sexy and tempting," I chuckle, reminiscing about my first encounter with Lucas and his warriors, where I couldn't help but admire their handsome faces and sculpted bodies. The warrior approaches, and Kaylie rolls down the window. Upon seeing Kaylie's face, he immediately salutes. "Good Day, Luna Kaylie. Where are you headed? Have you received permission from Alpha Lucas or Beta Jenson? We haven't been notified of any Luna leaving Blue Sapphire Pack," he says politely. "Do Lunas also need permission?" I ask. "We're just visiting my uncle Henry at his hospital near Black Amous Pack, we'll only be gone for a short while," I continue, silently praying that this warrior doesn't call Lucas. If he does, our plan will surely fail. "Just a moment, Luna, let me check with the head of the warriors," he replies, heading back to the guard post. "Oh Kaylie, why is the Blue Sapphire Pack border guarded so tightly? With hundreds of CCTV cameras surrounding the entire area, plus super handsome and strong guards manning the security posts, not even a fly could pass through your borders," Luna Chiko remarks. "Lucas doesn't want anything endangering Blue Sapphire Pack. Security at the border has been tightened since Lucas married me, because he's afraid the Vampire Council will come and capture me, but it turns out it wasn't the Vampire Council who came, but Huiwi's black magic that managed to slip through undetected guards. Hopefully, we'll have time to find a countermeasure to thwart her evil plan," I say to Luna Chiko with a sigh. "Are the Vampire Council still trying to capture you to turn you into a vampire, even though you can't turn into one anymore, and your werewolf side is stronger now?" Chiko asks me with concern in her voice. "Yes, but at first, they didn't know. They only found out after I and Lucas got married, and now they're trying to get my unborn child because hybrid children like mine have superpowers when their blood is consumed by vampires," I elaborate again with a bigger sigh. The thought of my unborn child being targeted sends a shiver down my spine. I clutch my stomach protectively, instinctively trying to shield my baby from any potential harm. The idea of facing danger while carrying my precious child fills me with a mix of fear and determination. I silently vow to do everything in my power to keep my baby safe, no matter what threats may arise. . "Huh... Let's hope the vampires don't know you're pregnant now and won't chase after us as we head to Black Amous Pack," Luna Chiko says. "Yeah, fingers crossed! But hey, look on the bright side, we can relax for now. The Vampire Council is off doing their thing in Russia, probably debating who gets the last blood bag or something," I quip, trying to lighten the mood. "Uncle Henry filled me in on that tidbit, just to ease my nerves knowing I'll be popping out a mini-me in a few months. Let's tackle the vampire drama after the little bundle of joy arrives, shall we? Too much stress isn't good for the baby, so let's take it one crisis at a time," I add, flashing a grin to reassure my friends. "That's a relief," Rose and Luna Chiko respond in unison. The handsome security guard strolls back towards our car. With his deep baritone voice, he says, "You're cleared to leave Blue Sapphire Pack. Enjoy your journey, and please drive safely." His smile widens. "Thank you," I quickly reply, and Luna Chiko promptly presses the gas pedal as we leave Blue Sapphire Pack behind, heading towards Black Amous Pack. "It's only an hour from the border to Black Amous Pack, but Melda's house, the witch, is halfway between both packs. So, we should reach her place in half an hour. If you're tired and want to sleep, go ahead. I'll be the chauffeur catering to my two lovely ladies," Chiko says with a grin. "We have to keep you company. No dozing off allowed because we're true friends who stick together through thick and thin. If you're tired, we can take turns. Chiko, Rose, and I can all drive," I reassure her. "Don't worry. I'm not tired at all, especially since my pregnancy is less advanced than yours. Kaylie you're already seven months along, Roses at five, and I'm only four months pregnant. So, you should be the one resting more, Kaylie, because you'll be giving birth soon," Chiko says, full of concern. "Yeah, I know, but I don't feel tired or sleepy. Maybe it's because my adrenaline is up, eager to find a way to thwart the evil intentions of Alpha Lucas and the witch Huiwi," I reply. "Hopefully, witch Melda can give us advice on how to counteract Alpha Alex's evil deeds," " Rose says, full of hope. "Yeah, let's hope so," Kaylie and Chiko chime in simultaneously. "Chiko, look out!" Kaylie shouts as a fleeting shadow suddenly flies past their car. Chiko jerks suddenly, causing Kaylie to grab onto the dashboard. "Sorry... What was that?" Chiko asks, bewildered. The black shadow is no longer visible. "Don't get out. It's dangerous," Rose warns. "Lock the car doors," she adds, her voice firmer. As a warrior, she knows how to handle situations like this. "Do we need to check if I hit something?" Luna Chiko asks, worried. "Don't..." Rose shouts. "We didn't feel any bump at our car. You definitely didn't hit anything. It might just be a shadow or an eagle flying low. Rev the engine, make some noise, so whatever it is will go away hearing the roaring sound of the car," Rose advises. Chiko follows Rose' s advice and presses on the gas pedal repeatedly until the SUV roars loudly. After a few moments, nothing happens. "Let's go again. It must have been just a low-flying eagle," Rose says, relieved. " Well, that was an unexpected adrenaline rush! Glad we didn't end up in a bird-brained situation," Kaylie chuckles, her grip on the dashboard finally easing. "Let's put the pedal to the metal and head straight to Witch Melda's place. Hopefully, the only flying things we'll encounter from now on are her wise words and not any more surprise shadows!" With a shared laugh, they resume their journey towards Witch Melda's house, ready for whatever quirky encounters may await them there.
