Unwavering ( Winter)

1159 Words
Lucas's POV... I'm pleased to see Kaylie and her friends already in the dining room when our meeting concludes. Our Lunas are chatting and joking around as they prepare dinner. Jenson, walking ahead of me, is embracing his wife, playing his part perfectly by pretending to be clueless about what our wives have planned. He even goes as far as to ask about what bag his wife bought. Rose, looking a bit flustered, replies that she didn't get the bag she wanted. And she said Luna Kaylie will explain to us all where they actually went. Hearing Rose words , with a smile, I say, "No need for explanation, we already know." Kaylie looks shocked at my words. "Know what?" She seems puzzled, wondering why I seem to know their secret plans. Then, with a cheerful tone and a bright smile, I continue, "I just know. Actually, you didn't go shopping, did you?" My words cause Kaylie's face to pale, and she avoids meeting my gaze. I press on, "You don't need to look so guilty like this. You don't need to keep any secrets from me anymore. I know everything. Although earlier we agreed to pretdeng not to know. But hearing that you were going to explain everything to me, I decided to tell you that I already knew you didn't go shopping earlier. You must be planning something else for me." Hearing my words, Kaylie looks even more flustered, and in a quiet voice, she asks, "What do you know about our plan?" I nod and , smiling sweetly at my adorable wife's confusion. Kaylie asks again, "What do you know, Lucas?" I laugh happily, taking Kaylie's hand and kissing it lovingly. " My beloved wife, I'm glad you're planning everything for me, especially in your pregnant state. I understand you must need Rose and Luna Chiko's help because you're pregnant. I know you must be planning... " "What is it, Lucas? What do you know?" Kaylie asks me again. "Oh, don't play innocent, my love. I know you're planning a surprise birthday party with Luna Chiko, and Rose. Am I right?" I say with a wide grin and an overflowing sense of joy. Knowing that my adorable wife is planning a surprise birthday party for me makes me feel like the luckiest man in the world. Finishing my words, I wrap Kaylie in a tight hug, showing her how much I adore her. I gently caress her growing belly and lower my head to whisper, "Is that what mommy's planning, my baby? You've been tagging along with mommy everywhere, so you must know that she's planning a surprise party for daddy. Thank you, my baby. You and mommy are going to be so loved by daddy." Hearing my words, Kaylie strokes my hair, but she still looks awkward, with a hint of guilt on her face. Furrowing my brow, I ask, "You look really odd. Usually, you'd laugh with joy when I catch on to your sneaky plans to surprise me, like that time you surprised me with your naked body only with your doctor suit in our red room on our anniversary." I observe Kaylie's face closely. "Oh no, Lucas, why did you have to reveal my 'Fifty Shades of Grey' secret here?" Kaylie pouts. "Oh, come on, Kaylie, it's not like anyone here doesn't know you're a hopeless romantic who loves to spice things up," I tease, giving her a playful wink. "And besides, it's all in good fun, right?" I squeeze her hand reassuringly, trying to ease her embarrassment. "But seriously, sweetheart, you know I adore every side of you, even the Fifty Shades side," I say with a chuckle, leaning in to give her a quick peck on the cheek. Kaylie smiles, and I continue, "But this time, I wonder why your face looks different. It's not a surprise party for me that you're planning, is it?" I furrow my brow in confusion. Kaylie gestures for me to take my seat, and she also invites all the alphas and lunas to sit, including Beta Jenson and Rose. Sitting beside me, Kaylie holds my hand and looks at me with her puppy eyes. "My husband, before I tell you what we've done, I want you to promise not to be angry with us after hearing our actions. Can you promise?" I furrow my brows. "You must know your actions will make me angry, so you're asking me to promise first. Alright. I promise not to be angry," I say. Then Kaylie turns to her brother Toby. "Brother, you also have to promise, even though Liana didn't join us, but I'm the one who pressured her to lie." Toby nods, but not before he teasingly messes up Kaylie's hair. "You're naughty, my little sister. My wife usually never lies to me." Kaylie then turns to Alpha Gabriel. "Forgive me, Alpha Gabriel. Don't blame Luna Chiko after hearing what I'll explain later because Chiko's intention was only one, to help me as her best friend." Alpha Gabriel also nods and says, "Whatever you do, the most important thing is that you're all safe and sound now, you made it back here safely, and we can enjoy dinner together. So I won't be angry because I know my wife's nature; she'll always do her best to help her friends." Hearing her husband's words, Luna Chiko leans her head on his shoulder and whispers, "Thank you, my love, for trusting me like that. I love you" Then, Kaylie turns to Beta Jenson. "Beta Jenson, I need you to promise not to be angry with Rose. She was only following my orders to ensure my safety as a beta female and head of the warriors, as well as being my best friend." "Yes, Luna, absolutely," Jenson asserts firmly, his voice steady and resolute. "I could never be angry with Rose as long as her actions are for your safety. Both of us have vowed to serve and protect you at all times. We stand firmly by Alpha Lucas and you, Luna Kaylie, through thick and thin. No need for concern our loyalty to Alpha Lucas and Luna Kaylie is unwavering," he reassures. Upon hearing Jenson's words, I feel a swell of pride and gratitude towards the Moon Goddess for blessing me with such a loyal Beta and a dear friend who always stands by my side through thick and thin. Kaylie, too, seems moved by Jenson's words; her smile widens, and she expresses heartfelt gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Beta Jenson." Kaylie grips my hand tightly before she begins to recount what they've been up to during our alpha meeting. The words that spill from her lips widen my eyes in disbelief at what the three of them have done. Alpha Gabriel, Beta Jenson, and I, together with Alpha Toby, shaking our heads in disbelief before we all shout in unison, "What have you done? You're absolutely crazy!
