5. Endymion POV

1367 Words
The heir to the final ruler of the western and northern ancient kingdoms is Lady Selene Fenrisúlfr Arktisk. Getting engaged to the young sons of the Skoll and Itha heirs—how could such a stunning woman be tied to such barbarians? Rumor has it that Selene will be living in hell if she marries any of the three of them. I could not stop thinking about her as I walked toward my adopted father's crew. She had the most striking black and blonde hair tones, soft, fair skin, pink lips, and blue eyes. It is amazing how much she looks like her father, Lord Charles Fenrisúlfr, but her mother, whom I have pleasant memories of, must have given her more delicate features. She was a stunning blonde, with delicate, fair skin and blue eyes as clear as the sky. She was also always composed, no matter where she went. “Endy?” I heard Tim talking to me, jolting me out of my reverie to give him a look. “Yes?” "To protect ourselves from the new wolves that were spotted nearby, we need swords, armor, and many more items. You will be working with the rest of us today is head of staying at the farm." Since I stutter more than anyone else here and I know we have a lot of work ahead of us with the blacksmith, it dawned on me that I would like one more chance to spend time with Selene. Even though I know I am older than her, her endearing presence has made me feel really uncomfortable since we first met. I still want to see her again. I went to speak privately with my adopted father while everyone else dispersed to their revered places of employment. “F-Fat-fath-er” When he turned to walk with me to his car, I tried to get his attention. He spoke to me respectfully and with concern as we walked. "What does Endymion matter? Is there anything that I can assist you with? He put his hand on my shoulder and asked me again after I nodded in response to his question. "Have you heard about the northern and western young lady's return?" I nodded at my father, feeling a little ashamed that he could get things right the first time, since Selene was the one he was asking me to see again. "C-ca-an I-I meat? He-her?” He gave me a smile and spoke in a tone that was gentle and full of intentions. "We will meet with them to give our weapons and armors; fear not, we shall be meeting them in three months; perhaps a kind offer of yours could help her see what you are capable of?" "The Madam of that family must meet with you as she saved you to then bless me then fold my son. I have to clarify to the Lord of that family what you truly were trying to do, it was not your fault he had been under so much stress." My adopted father was bald with light brown hair on the sides of his head, slim with large eyes and a nose, and he smiled politely at me as he opened the car door. He looked brightly at me through the window while wearing his suit. He has been a good man to me many times. She took the time to ensure that whoever took me again would not abuse me, and she did an amazing job with the family I grew up with, ever since the Madam of the House took me away from that shop. The house was modest but comfortable, and my adoptive parents always made an effort to support me despite all of my flaws. My biological mother had only one child and was in constant need of assistance until she passed away when I was fifteen. We had a lot in common, especially our stuttering, so they were glad to have me around. I saw a lot of people throughout the world and traveled to a lot of places as a child, but none of them could compare to Lady Selene's beauty. Going to the blacksmith helped me understand what was needed, and while I worked, I started to consider how her parents must have taught her and what I could now offer in my current job. Her father is the war god, and from what I have heard, he is not someone to mess with unless I want to die. The old king was just as strong as his son, and everyone knows that. His wife is said to be the most cunning woman on the planet because she is the only person who has ever been able to defeat him. They fell in love with each other, and Selene was born out of their union. But is this their only child? She will also need a weapon at all times if she is the first child to wed those bruts for husbands, but I can not think of one that is as beautiful as her. In order to show off my bare chest, I removed my brown long shirt. Chuck and Tim also wore aprons. A weapon at her disposal, small yet potent in her hands, a personal gift she will need. The thought then occurred to me that she must be a skilled swordswoman, but because she resembles her mother so much, she cannot hit a sword. Chuck, a different employee, was speaking behind Tim and me. "We are going to make daggers in a month to help the men defend themselves while they are out and about." He continued to talk, but all I could think about was creating a unique dagger for Selene. I am not as wide as Chuck, but I am still not as thin as Tim, and I am more in tune with Tim's psyche because he has a darker tone than Chuck and me, who are both golden-tanned. Tim has an oval face that is cleanly shaven, black hair, a large beauty mark on his face, and only four teeth. Chuck has a lot of moles all over his body, thin brown hair, and Tim's teeth. They look up to me because of my blonde hair, which is soft and always in a ponytail. I also get tired easily, have bad vision when wearing glasses, and although some people think I have bd teeth, I actually have all of them. Working nonstop I am a great artist, and occasionally my work has allowed me to purchase some cheese during breaks. I wait for breaks to get my journal. I walk to the back, where I left my bag on the middle table, and as soon as I see it, I grab my journal and some chalk. I hear the ding for our break. I hate that I do not know anything about her; I wish I did. As I sit on the edge of the table, I begin to mentally draw the dagger. Looking around, I saw a girl who was with her mother. I smiled at them both. After giving it some thought, I came up with a certain idea that, if my memory serves me correctly, I can learn today if I spot a child around. “Ex-excuse me mad-dam cou-could I have a word?” I forced myself to say, and they both looked my way, walking to me I took out two silver nickels, the madam looked at them with desire, and I knew I pups get what I wanted after her attention went to where I wanted. “Yes sir to what can we be of assistance?” Taking my journal I wrote my instructions when I realized I like make it more romantic, I took another piece of paper to write a note to Selene, giving it to the woman, she took it to them have me take the old paper to tell her to drop the letter to the house of the Fenrisúlfr-Arkitisk, as she read it I knew this was an educated woman, or a high quality maid, she turned with the note for Selene after reading it.
