"What exactly is it this time?"
Robert was frustrated that the man couldn't deal with Anna himself; obviously, he was nearby, but he still called.
He gave a confused look to the center of the crowd before saying coldly, "You, stay and check her identity."
"Certainly, Mr. Robert!"
The bodyguard beside Robert bowed respectfully and quickly left to do as he was told.
After looking at the scene again, Robert exited the airport gate and entered a black car.
In a hospital downtown...
Anna, who had just awoken, found it challenging to sit up after someone pushed the door open. "Robert, you are here?"
"Don't get up; you can talk while lying down."
Robert seems preoccupied, and it doesn't matter what she does; he stands by the bed, staring at Anna coldly.
Robert was cold towards her, and it was something she wasn't used to. Her eyes well up with tears as she closes and reopens them.
"Robert..."
For some men, this voice will make them fall for her!
Unfortunately, Robert was only annoyed.
"Why are you so distant, Robert?" Anna cried. She wiped her tears and cried softly.
Robert frowned, and his voice was soft for a moment. "The Dean informed me that he had arranged for a doctor to visit," he sighed.
"I know you're scared, but I have an urgent matter to attend to. I'll see you again once I've finished with it. This is the city's finest hospital. You'll be fine, right?"
However, Anna knows that if she refuses that he will see that she isn't the person she always pretended to be. Her nose is red and swollen, and her voice is raspy. "If that's the case, then... Okay."
"Robert, you must remember to come to see me once your work is finished," Anna said again as he turned to leave.
After convincing Anna that he needed to leave, Robert exited the ward.
Anna's tender and angelic personality changed after he left, and the brutality in her eyes that made some people afraid returned.
"Ah!" She yelled, took the vase next to her, and flung it at the door.
Whenever Robert has a cold expression, it's either because he found someone who looks like Emily or he must have heard the news!
Robert still thinks about a woman who died five years ago! Emily still consumes his mind! Anna was so angry that her chest raised violently that she grabbed the foot of the bed and abused herself violently. "It's all your fault, you b***h. When you were alive, you were a pain; when you died, you were even more of a pain in my ass! I'm Robert's wife now! If you were reborn and dared to come back and harass Robert and me again, you would wish you were never born!"
Inside the ward, Anna's cursing voice echoed.
...
"From today on, this is our new home."
Emily walked inside the apartment with her two children and bags of suitcases.
Although it is not a villa, the location is perfect, and the transportation is very convenient.
"Mommy, my hands are sore."
As Emily looks up and down at the apartment's interior, Mia pushes the suitcase into the door, and her little body falls on the couch, muttering, "But I am still a good girl. Look, I have helped Mommy carry the bags!"
"It's almost as if I don't have hands anymore." Mark clumsily lifted the suitcase and placed it in the hallway! He collapsed on the couch, his face red and panting.
After getting off the bus, these two kids began to compete over who could carry the bags without complaining. Emily felt sad and warm at the same time as she looked at their little hands with red marks.
Emily looked at her children and noticed how tired they looked. She brought the rest of her luggage inside, shut the door, and spoke more softly. "Mommy understands how hard you two have worked. What do you want to eat? I'll make you some delicious food later. But the two of you will rest first while I bathe."
"I want pizza!" Mia was the one who started. She grinned as she raised her hand. "Do you want me to puke?" Mark scoffed. He is in a lousy mood, looks at his sister with a frown, and says, "I want pasta!"
"Ah! Mark, you are worse than me!" Mia rolled her eyes. Mark doesn't like pizza, and Mia doesn't like pasta.
"Hum..."
Emily couldn't help but smile. "Okay, you little devils, I'll cook both," she said. "All right then, I'm going to take a bath!"
"Okay, Mommy! Wash the stinky sweat away!" There was a constant sound of running water in the bathroom, and two small children were lying on the couch, bored. Mia rolled over and suddenly remembered what her mother had said to the other person on the phone today. She looked at Mark, a smile on her lips appeared, and she felt amused. "While Mommy is away, should we do something fun?" she said mysteriously.
Mark didn't want to talk to her. This lad was still in a bad mood. He raised his head and said, "Don't think I forgot. Last time you said you wanted to compete, I won, and you said I cheated. If I lost, you would laugh at me."
He narrowed his eyes and thought he saw through Mia's trick. "I still need to build these legos, don't bother me."
"Oh, come on."
Mia blinked and whispered, "But I heard from Mommy on the phone today that there is a person in our new school who looks like you!"
"Really?"
Mark suddenly sat up. He stared at Mia.
Mia nodded and said, "If you don't believe me, I will show you at school."
"Okay," Mark nodded eagerly to see the kid that looked like him.
"Do you think he is also our brother?" Mia asked, looking at her brother.
"Don't be silly; Mommy only has you and me," Mark laughed.
"I know," Mia sight.
"Maybe Dad has taken him?" Mia says after a few minutes of silence.
"Yeah, that is why we don't have a daddy like all the other kids at school," Mark agreed.
Before the two can talk more about their father, Emily returns, and the children pretend to watch a movie. Emily made a pizza and pasta and quickly called someone to deliver a car while waiting for the food.
