Phantom Wolf (Book one)

Chapter #2.

Max's Pov

As Winter looked at me with puppy dog eyes but I know I have to do whatever it takes to protect my niece even if I have to wipe out that kid from the Midnight Frost Pack if the kid comes back on my pack's territory just to take Winter away oh he has another thing coming for him.

I then mind link to Winter's father White Fang and I say "A member of the Midnight Frost Pack came to the territory carrying Winter because she tried, to take on a bear by herself she got clawed deep on her back and she may have a sprained wrist, but she is safe now but I had to give her stitches on her back the claws almost reached her spine, but it didn't that boy saved her life so I let him live so he could go back to his pack" 

White Fang says to Max "Just keep and eye on her you know how Winter is and we will be back as soon as we can, make sure she drinks and eats a lot to get her strength back up and let her have plenty of rest now sorry to cut our conversation so short but I have to get back to the meeting"

Then White Fang ends the mind link, as I go get lots of food and water and different types of fruity drinks so when she wakes up she can have a bite to eat and something to drink.

After a while goes by and nightfall comes, then all of a sudden one of the hunter wolves comes and gets me saying "Come quick that boy that brought Winter is back and he wants to speak to you about something" 

As I nod my head and I follow the hunter wolf to the boy that belongs to the Midnight Frost Pack, as I arrive I stand in front of the boy and I say "Why are you back here I was nice enough to let you live with your life when you brought my niece back, but give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now"

The boy then says "I have spoke with my Alpha and we agreed to have a peace treaty so both packs can be allies, if you want to talk to my Alpha about this just let me know if you ever want to schedule a meeting, that is all I have come here to talk to you about oh and tell Winter that I hope she has a speedy recovery"

My eyes then turn a golden orange and I do a deep low growl as I say in a deep voice "How do you know her name" As the boy says "She told me her name when I didn't even ask for it"

As I go face-to-face to the boy and my wolf fangs show as I say "Just go now boy and leave this territory I will inform you on my decision, but you Have to leave now"

The boy nods his head and starts walking back to his pack's territory, even though I hate talking to that boy it is the second time I have had a conversation with him but still that boy's voice makes me growl, the boy sounds like my old nemesis Vazzie and if that boy has Vazzie as a father then next time when he comes to our territory he will be killed.

After a while goes by and I am doing some work in the pack making sure everything is set for when White Fang comes back, also making sure that White Fang and his wife have little stress and little to do so they can spend time with Winter.

I then hear soft footsteps coming closer to me as I look over and see Winter as I stand up and go over to Winter and say "Winter why are you over here you are supposed to be back at the house resting right now you have to take it easy, I don't want you to strain yourself just go back to sleep but first get something to eat and drink you have to regain your strength" 

Winter than replies with "I don't want to stay still and in one place I want to go hunting that will help me get my strength back please Uncle Max I don't want be known as a weak daughter of a strong Alpha that is not how I role I promise that I will be safe and I will stay out of bear territory I will go to deer territory"

I then think to myself for a few seconds as I say "Fine but one of the hunter wolves will go with you to keep you safe, protect you from any danger deal?" She then sighs and says "Fine I guess I have no other choice"

I look at Winter in the eyes and I put my hand on her shoulder gently and say in a calming voice "Winter I am only looking out for you while your parents are at the Alpha meeting and it is my responsibility to make sure that you are safe and out of danger"

As I then watch Winter shift to her wolf form and since it is night she turns into her Phantom Wolf form which is black with a light blue chest and glowing white legs/paws/tail with light red Alpha teen eyes, I then say "Russo go hunting with Winter and protect her with your life while you are out with her"

Russo then nods and shifts into his black and red streaked wolf form, everyone might wonder why a black wolf is in the Snowfall Pack but Russo was abandoned by the Midnight Frost Pack when he was just a teenager but still he isn't fully trusted but he knows not to put the Alpha's daughter in any danger or he will be exiled for his treason so he wouldn't even dare to try it.
