Ruby I thought of known that Orlando would be in a fight. He could never control his temper. The guy that Orlando beating up, looked unrecognisable. Both his eyes was swollen, a busted lip and he was bleeding from the head. I felt pity for the guy. "Is someone going to stop them" one of the student said. "Quick. Someone call the teacher" second student shouted out. "He's going to kill the poor guy" another student said panic. "You need to stop him, Ruby" Robin rushedout. Looking at the the guy sympathetic. "Me?" I said "Yes you. You're the only one he listens to" she stated simply. I groaned. "Fine but if I get injured in the crossfire, I'm blaming you" I grumbled. She just rolled her eyes and pushed forward. I signed and walked up to him and before Orlando land another punch, I grabbed his arm. He stopped bid air and looked at me. He's eyes was dark. There was anger in them and he looked like a craze animal. I saw that he's knuckles was bruised and bloody. There was a cut at the corner of his lips and on his right side of his cheek. "You need to stop. He had enough?" I said calmly. "Well I haven't" he gritted out. "Can't you see that he been beaten enough? If you keep this up, you're going to kill him. You're going to get in trouble" I hissed. "Does it look like I care? He deserved it" he snapped. "Well I do. Believe it or not I care that you get in trouble. So stopped this, now" I demanded seriously. He scoffed and pulled his arm out of my hand. "Well I'm not done with him" he stated bitterly. "Fine then. I'll leave you alone. I just go home with Robin" I snapped, fling my hand in the air. He's a pain in the ass sometimes. Orlando's face once ferocious changed to mad. "I told you that I'm taking you home" he said angry. His jaw ticked. "Didn't you say that you wasn't done?" I retorted. "Yes I'm not but I'm still taking you home" he stated seriously but he seems calmer now. "It's fine, you're busy. I just go home with Robin" I said simply and started walking away. "Wait Ruby. I'm sorry ok?" He shouted but I ignored him and kept on walking, grabbing Robin in the process. Everyone made way for me and stared but I just pay no mind. "Lets go Robin" I said. I heard Orlando calling me but I just walked away. "I thought you was going to stop him?" She questioned quietly. "I did. Orlando stopped beating the poor guy" I said bluntly and shrugged. "You do know Orlando won't be happy that I'm taking you home?" Robin said simply. "I know but he pissed me off" I said frustrated. She just nodded understanding and we headed to her car. However, when I was about to open the car door, I was yanked backwards. I yelped. I was faced with angry looking Orlando. "Didn't you hear me calling you?" He asked annoyed. "Yes" I said bluntly. He just stared at me. "Then why did you ignored me?" He gritted out. "Cause you're being an asshole and you didn't listen so I left" I said honestly. He took a deep breath. "You're right, I was being an asshole. I'm sorry" he said apologetically. "Can I take you home?" He asked more calmly. "Yes you can" I replied. He nodded. He put his arm around my shoulders and headed to his car. "I see you later Robin" I said, waving at her. "See ya Ruby. Call me later" she shouted and waving back at me. Orlando opened the door for me, I jumped in and he closed the door. He walked over his side and got in. "Seat belt" he stated. "Ok dad" I mumbled and put my seat belt on. Once I put my seat belt on, Orlando turned the car on and drove off from campus. "So why was you beating up the guy?" I asked curiously. "Cause he was confronting me if I slept with his brother" he said dismissively. "And did you?" I asked suspiciously. "Yes and he got into my face" he said bluntly, not keeping his eyes off the road. I just gave him a pointed look. "And I also told him I slept with his dad as well" he said like it wasn't a big deal. "For goodness sake, did you have to tell him that? No wonder he confronted you. Did you really need to sleep with his father?" I asked annoyed. Shaking my head disapproving. He just shrugged and kept on driving. "So that's why you gone into a fight with him?" I said more to myself. "Yep" he nodded. "I heard there's going to be a welcome back party on Saturday" I said, wanting to change the topic. "I know" he reply simply. "And I'm going to go with Robin" I stated. Orlando's jaw clenched and holding the wheel so tight that his blooded knuckles went white. "Over my dead body, you're going to the party" he said sternly. "Oh yes I am. You can't stop me" I said defiantly. I saw his eyes twitch and he gritted his teeth. "No you're not. There's a lot can happen at the party and I don't want you to get hurt or take advantage of" he demanded. "Nothing is going to happen. I'll be careful, promise" I assured him. "It's still no. End of discussion" he said dismissively. I huffed. "Over protective much" I mumbled and crossing my arms over my chest. After a few minutes of driving silently, I broke the silent. "Are you going to the party?" I asked. "No" "Why not?" "Cause I don't like load music and I don't like crowds" he said obvious. "And I don't like people in general. I already know this about me, Ruby" he added. "I thought you might try it as it is the last year of school" I said simply. He just shrugged. We finally made it to my house and Orlando parked at the front. He signed and turned to face me. "How about this? Why don't we hang out at my place and we have a movie marathon this weekend? Does that sounds good to you?" He asked softly. "Ok" I said. He gave me a small smile. He got out of the car and went over to my side to open the door for me. I hoped out and headed to the house and I opened the front door. "I'll pick you up tomorrow, Ruby" he said. "Ok, see you tomorrow" I replied and waving at him. He nodded and waved back. He got into his car and drove off. Once he was gone, I closed the door. I know I'm alone in the house cause pops is at work and won't be back until dinner time. So I headed upstairs and started doing my homework. While I was busy working on my homework, my phone ranged. I picked it up to see who was calling. It was Robin so I answered it. "Hey Robin, what's up" "Hey Ruby, I was wondering if you would like to stay over at my place Friday night so that we can be ready together for the party?" She asked. Crap! How am I going to say I'm not coming? "Umm about that..." I said hesitantly. "Yes? What is it?" She asked suspiciously. "It turns out I can't come to the party with you" I said nervously. There was silence at her end. She signed. "Let me guess. Orlando won't allow you to come?" She accused. "Yes" I said honestly. She huffed. "He's so controlling. You can't let him tell you what to do, Ruby" she said sternly. "He's just protective of me that's all. He's looking out for me" I defended. "Oh please. He's not looking out for you. He's controlling you. The soon you realise it the better" she stated. "Ok your right" I said thoughtfully. "You damn right I am" she said indefinitely. I just rolled my eyes. "But Orlando planned to hang out together this weekend" I said truthfully. "I see" she said. "How about we make a plan to ditch him and go to the party?" She suggested. That sounds like a good idea. "Ok sure. Lets make a plan" I agreed. "Atter girl" she cheered at her end. I laughed at her excitement and started planning. I just hope this plan works.
