2138 Words
Marcus It's Saturday evening and I was getting myself ready for my date with Ruby. My cupcake. I know it's too soon to say that she's mine but the moment when she spilt punch on me was then I decided that she was for me. When I first lay eyes on her, I thought she was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She was like a goddess with her long black hair, her Hazel green eyes, her plump lips and her dark caramel skin. What stands out from most girls is that Ruby isn't afraid what she thinks. She says how it is and not caring what people think which I like. She was even blunt about wanting to kiss me at the party and was about to until her friend interrupted us. I was finishing getting myself ready when it was time for me to go and collect Ruby. I was wearing baby blue shirt and dark blue denim jeans with white sneakers. I checked myself a once over and once I was satisfied to how I looked, I headed out. I went into my car and drove to Ruby's house. Once I got there, I pulled up at the front of her house. I checked the time on my phone and saw it was seven on the dot. Good, I made it in time. I got out of my car and walked to the door and knocked. I took a deep breath and waited for the door to open. It didn't take long to wait when the door opened and I saw a rough looking man which I assumed is Ruby's father. He was tall and muscular with a bit of a gut. "Who are you?" the guy asked gruffly. He had a serious look on his face. "I'm Marcus sir. I'm here to pick Ruby up for our date" I said awkwardly. He looked at me up and down, studying me closely. He got that dominate aura about him. I'm not going to lie, I feel a little intimidated by him. "Ah the famous Marcus. Ruby told me all about you" he stated simply. "I hope all good things" I said sincerely. "For now" he said bluntly. What's that supposed to mean? Before I could asked what he meant by that, Ruby walked up beside him. She was wearing a red dress that goes just above her knees with dark blue jean jacket and black ankle boots. Her hair was braided to the side and was hanging over her shoulder. She didn't wear any makeup on. She looked beautiful. "Leave him alone, pops. You're scaring him" she scolding him. He just rolled his eyes. "If he's scared of me for just talking to him then he's not worthy of you" grumbled. "We're not living in the medieval times, pops. It's the twenty first century. It's my choice if I think he's worthy or not" she huffed out. It feels like they haven't noticed that I'm not standing right in front of them. They're talking about me like I'm not even here. "I'm just looking out for for you, miracle" he said sincerely, his face soften a little to her. Ruby smiled and kissed his cheek. "I know pops. You always have" she said gently. "You look beautiful, cupcake" said sincerely. "Thank you Marcus" she replied smiling at me. Her father just raised a brow at me. "Cupcake?" He asked. "It's a nickname cause of my obsession of them" Ruby explained. "You really do love cupcakes. I don't know where you get that obsession from? Cause you didn't get it from me" Her father mused. Ruby just shrugged. "See you later pops" Ruby said and kissed her father on the cheek. Ruby was headed to my car, me following behind her. "See you later, miracle. Have fun and text or call me when you're on your way home" he shouted out. I opened the door for Ruby and helped her get in and I jumped in on the driver side. I started the car and drove off. "I'll call you when I on my way home. Love you" Ruby shouted out of the window and waving at him. "Love you too, miracle" he shouted, waving back and I saw him walk back in the house from the rear view mirror. Ruby pop her head back in and close the window. "Where are we going?" She asked curious. "I thought we go to a movie and maybe get something to eat" I said simply. "Sounds good to me" she said. "Awsome..." I didn't get to finish when I saw Ruby giving me questioning look. "I was going to say awsome. Just awsome" I said defensively. "Uh huh" she replied. Raising a brow a me. I laughed at her expression and continued driving to the movie theatre. Once we got there, I parked the in the parking lot and we headed to the movie theatre. We were sitting at back row, watching the movie. At the ticket booth we were discussing what kind of movie what to watch. I wanted to watch a action film but she wanted a horror film. After bickering about which film to watch, we decided to watch a thriller. It wasn't a good movie. It was about some guy stalking a girl for a year and capture her in a basement and locked her up for three years but in the end the guy was the girl's uncle. It wasn't best but not the worst movie I watched. After the movie, I drive us to a twenty-four hours dinner and sat in a booth. "That was two hours wasted of my life that I can't get back" Ruby complained. "Well we could of watched a action movie" I said simply. "Or we could of watched a horror movie" she stated simply. "What's wrong with an action movie?" I asked. "What's wrong with an horror movie?" She retorted. "Nothing but I prefer action over horror" "Well I prefer horror over action" "What about comedy?" I asked curious. "It's ok but it can be hit and miss" Ruby said shrugging. "Fair enough. What romantic movies?" "Oh god no. I find romantic movies predictable. Boy meets girl. They go on dates then one of them gas a secret which make them break up but at the end they realise that they can't stop loving each other and go back together" she said bored. "So that's a definite no to the romantic movies?" I asked. "Yes" she replied frankly. "Noted. Moving on. Do you know what you want?" I asked as we were looking at the menu. "Yep. What about you?" She asked as she put down the menu. "Yep" I replied and right on queue, waitress came over at our table. She was a tall lady, with blonde tied up in a ponytail and she had blue eyes. She ok looking if you like that type. "Hello there, my name is Sandy and I'll be your waitress for the day. Are you guys ready to order?" She asked politely. "Yep. Can I have a bacon double cheese burger, chilli fries and cherry cola please" I said as the waitress writing my order then faced Ruby. "And for you, what would you like?" She asked. "Can I have crispy chicken and bacon sandwich with cheese, wet fries and chocolate brownie milkshake please" Ruby said politely. The waitress wrote down her order. "Coming right up" she said sweetly and left. Me and Ruby was talking random stuff while we were waiting for our food and it only took about twenty minutes when the food arrived. "Here's your food. Enjoy guys" Sandy said. "Thank you Sandy" I replied politely and giving her a friendly smile which she returned. "Thanks Sandy" Ruby thanked. "No worries. Just call if you need me" she said cheerfully and went to the other table. "This look good to eat" Ruby said cheerfully and starting eating. "It does" I agreed and starting eat also. We were busy eating in a comfortable silent, enjoying our food. Once we were done eating we ordered dessert. Ruby suggested we share which I agreed cause I know I couldn't eat dessert on my own. We decided to have a brownie with ice-cream. It was nice and after that I payed for the food but Ruby wanted to pay cause I bought the ticket at the theatre. I refused and told her I'll pay cause I was the one who ask for a date so Ruby gave a tip to our waitress, Sandy which I agreed. She gave her a generous tip for being friendly and left the diner. We were walking back to the car and Ruby was about to open the door when I stopped her and pinned her to the car door. She yelped to the sudden action and looked at me shocked. "What's wrong? Why did you stop me from opening the door?" She asked concerned. "I want to kiss you" I said softly. "What?" "I want to kiss you" I repeated. "Then kiss me" she replied smirking. I didn't waste no time, I grabbed the back of her head and kissed her urgently. She gasped which gave me access to snake my tongue into her mouth, exploring every inch. Ruby moaned and pulled me closer, if that even possible, to deepen the kiss. I could taste the brownie that we had but that didn't bother me cause I was enjoying the kiss. I broke the kiss after a moment and we were both panting heavily, catching our breath. I stared into her eyes just to admire it. She has the most beautiful hazel green eyes. It suited her. "I knew it" she said smirking. "Knew what?" I asked. "That you're a good kisser. I told you have kissable lips when we first met, at the party" she stated. I just laughed to her statement. "Yes you did and you're a good kisser as well. In matter of fact, it was the best kiss I ever had" I said honestly. She really was a good kisser. She snorted. "Cheesy much?" She mused. I just shrugged. "Just saying the truth" I said simply. "I'm not going to lie, I was waiting for you to kiss me" Ruby admitted. "How long have you been waiting for me to kiss you?" I asked curious. I really wanted to know. "To be honest with you, at the party. I hoping to see you again before Orlando carried me away" she said simply. "To be honest myself, I wanted to kiss you at the party as well but I didn't want you to think I was eager to kiss you" I admitted. "Oh! Fair enough" she said softly. "Want to kiss me again?" She asked flirtatiously. "With pleasure, cupcake" I replied smugly and kissed her again but this time it was more eagerly and hungrily. Ruby kissed me more eagerly than I was and I love it. Knowing that she wanted this as much as I do. She's definitely not like other girls. Ruby knows what she wants and not afraid to have it. She was perfect. "I think it's time for me to take you home before I pushed any further" I said breathlessly and leaned my head to hers. "I think that's wise" she agreed quietly and smiling. She was too cute. I stepped back and opened the door for her, helping her in and I went over to my side and drove off. We didn't talk on the way to her house, except when she called her dad that she was on her way home, and just drove in a comfortable silent. It didn't take long to arrive to Ruby's house. I parked at the front of her house. "I had a great time tonight" Ruby said sweetly. "Me too. Next time you can choose where to go on our next date" I suggested. "Oh! Who said there's going to be another date?" She teased. "Trust, cupcake, there's going to be another date" I said smugly. "Ain't you bold and full of yourself" she said teasingly. "I know what I want and not afraid to have it" I told her sincerely. "I like that in a guy" she said flirtatiously. "Good cause you're the only one I want" I said honestly. "You're the only one I want too" she admitted and kissed my cheek. "I don't want kiss there" I pouted. "Where do you want the kiss?" She said playfully. "Here" I pointed to my lips. She giggled and kissed my lips. It was soft and gently. Where busy kissing when someone knocked passenger's side window. Ruby screamed and looked over to see a furious looking douchebag of a friend. What the f**k does he want?
