So skipping through the entire hunt itself, went great but it took me longer than it should have. I don’t want to get all too graphic with it. I headed straight for the cafe that I asked for us to meet after my so-called work. I saw him waiting for me there, and he’s not even eating or drinking anything. I headed straight to the counter and bought us coffee and some pastries. I’m pretty sure this boy doesn’t eat when I’m not around. He looks pretty scrawny. I mean, no hate on boys who are scrawny. I went to where he was sitting and laid down the food and drinks on the table. “You shouldn’t have bought these.” he quietly says. “And why not? You were waiting here a long time, weren’t you? Think of this as compensation.” I reply. “Thank you.” he mutters as he slowly takes a sip of the coffee. He flinches a bit, maybe only realizing that the coffee is too hot. I push down a laugh and his expression. It might be evil of me if you think about it, but it was just so cute I couldn’t help myself. “H-How was work?” he stuttered as he pat his lip down with the back of his hand. “It was okay. Tiring, and dragged on longer than I expected it to be.” I gave him a small smile. I gently pushed the plates with pastries on them and gestured he should eat. He slowly takes one and nibbles on it. When I say nibble, I mean nibble. He nibbled on it, and it was f*****g adorable. We sat there at the cafe drinking and eating that we didn’t even notice how time passed by. As we finished up and fixed our things, we walked towards the apartment. When we reached the apartment he slowly turned towards me. “Thank you for today. I had lots of fun.” he stuttered. “You’re always welcome, Gino. I’d be happy to go out with you again as long as time permits it.” I say with a smile. We both stared at each other for a while. I cleared my throat and pushed the door open. “We better get some sleep.” I managed to say. I cannot believe everything that has happened today. We even sat at a cafe and did all that. What the f**k am I doing? At this point am I still trying to protect him or are there ulterior motives to my actions? I don't understand myself sometimes. Okay, well yeah, most of the time I don't understand myself. But this kind of thing is more complicated than I have ever hoped it to be. Now at this point you're wondering what I asked him to for me. Is it killing you? Is the curiosity eating you alive? Did you really think I was going to forget to tell you about it? To be honest with you, I almost did and just remembered the last minute. He left the plastic bag of groceries on the kitchen counter, I opened it to check if he has managed to buy everything that I will be needing for this week's dinner. HA! Did you think it was some sort of dangerous mission? Obviously not, I just sent him out to grab a couple of things from the grocery store. I sorted the food out in the refrigerator and the cabinets. As soon as I was satisfied I headed to my room and freshened up. I may be dead and immortal, but I still like to keep a clean hygiene just because. I mean, I really don't have to but it would feel really uncomfortable if you haven't bathed in almost a century. I don't want to smell like I'm rotting away. I peeked at him from the living room to find him changed and asleep on the couch. I sighed to myself and plopped down on my bed. I closed my eyes and "slept". A couple of hours have passed and I heard Gino rustling around. He must be making breakfast. A couple more minutes passed by and the air started smelling like pancakes and bacon. Hmmm, I love this smell early in the morning. I slowly got up and started getting ready for work. I put on some decent clothes, and went out my room to find Gino waiting for me at the table where pancakes and bacon was served. "Good morning! Would you like some coffee?" he asks with a smile plastered on his face. I nodded as I looked at the food he prepared. Sometimes I wish just enjoying these kinds of food. As someone who is a vampire, I can't enjoy human food as I used to do. I can eat it and tolerate it, but it's just not as good and as satisfying as it was when I was still human.
