Chapter 4- The Rebel°

Third Person's POV

Stacey received a phone call from Luke Suarez asking her for a dinner date with him.

Na-shocked pa siya noong una but she don't know what comes into her mind, she just say yes to him in one condition, she's the one who will choose for the place to eat. She told him the time and the place to meet.

Then, she called Portia asking her if she's free tonight? She told her that she wanted to see her because they have important things to talk about. She told her to go to her Italian restaurant at 7:00 pm.

At first Portia refuses her invitation she told Stacey that she have a commitment that same time but Stacey told her to cancel it because her's is more important, it's a matter of life and death.

Funny it is, I am good in telling lies, but those are white lies.

After talking to Porria she called Jelo informing him to reserve a table for two for Portia and Luke. She told him to give them a V.I.P treatment and make the night memorable for the two of them.

She discussed to him everything in details, what she really wanted to happen in their very first date.

Umandar na naman kasi ang pagiging kupida niya. Luke is a nice person, he's a good catch but she feels there's no spark between them.

But seriously speaking she just want them to compromise.

"All is settled then, I can't wait to see the result of my plans. I hope it'll work.

PORTIA can't say no to Stacey. She told her to dress up well and make herself beautiful.

Like the hell! She's always beautiful. She's not a supermodel Portia Montenegro for nothing.

But she's a bit confused and clueless. She thinks that there is something with Stacey's invitation, it's so unusual to her.

"I smell something fishy here."

Exactly 7:00 pm, she's not in front of Antipasti an Italian restaurant owned & operated by Stacey. The place is so cozy and so is the ambiance, very relaxing.

At the entrance, there is Jelo, he's expecting Portia like what Stacey said, kailangan nilang gawin na espesyal ang araw na ito para kay Portia at sa ka-date nitong si Luke.

I think Jelo is well informed of Stacey but what a warm welcome? I knew Jelo, he's been working for Stacey for almost two years now.

"Good evening, Ms.Portia!" Jelo greeted Portia with a smile.

Napansin ni Portia na cute pala si Jelo lalo na kapag nakangiti ito.

"Just follow me Ms.Portia, I lead the way, your date is waiting," sabi ni Jelo na nagpatiuna ng lumakad. Natigilan naman si Portia at napaisip sa sinabi nito.

" Huh! Date?" Do I heard it right?" bulong niya sa sarili.

To her surprised she's not expecting that Jelo will bring her on a private room with live music bands.

As she entered the room, the band started to sing an Charlie Puth's Song.

"What the hell is this?"

She's so shocked as in super shocked, lalo na ng makita niya who's on the table and waiting for her. The stupid jerk, Luke Suarez.

Nakita ni Portia sa mga mata ni Luke ang pagkabigla marahil ay hindi rin nito inaasahan na si Portia ang kanyang makikita imbes na si Stacey.

Tumunog ang cellphone ni Portia kasabay ng pagtunog na cellphone ni Luke na nakapatong sa ibabaw ng lamesa agad niyang kinuha ito at tiningnan kung ano ang nasa notification. Isang mensahe galing kay Stacey. Nakita ni Portia na binasa ng binata ang mensahe na hindi niya alam kung kanino nanggaling maya-maya ay ngumiti napangiti ito.

Tiningnan narin ni Portia ang kanyang cellphone, isang mensahe ang natanggap niya mula kay Stacey kaya naman agad niyang binasa iyon.

I'm sorry Portia I can't make it, enjoy your day, be a good girl. Be good to Luke, he's a good catch. Go, Portia!

Iyon ang nakasaad sa mensahe ni Stacey.

Hindiko na napigilan pa ni Portia ang matawa.

She hates surprises, but she love, Stacey. Napakapilya talaga ng kaibigan niyang ito.

Natigilan siya nang biglang tumayo si Luke at inalok nito ang kamay sa kanya. He lead her to the table and gentleman enough to pull a chair and give her a sit.

She don't know what made this day so beautiful and she can't help but wish that this day won't end.

Handsome, Luke Suarez just looking at Portia all the time no words but he just kept on smiling.

First time in Portia's entire life that she feel so conscious about herself. Nataranta si Portia.

Do I look beautiful today?

Is there something wrong with my face?

What made Luke Suarez stunned for a moment?

Is it the song?

Is it the ambiance?

Or is it me?

Lts of questions that comes into Portia's mind.

Bumuntong hininga nang malalim si Luke at hinarap si Portia, pinakatitigan nito ng husto ang dalaga.

"I just want to say sorry, Portia. Our first meeting made you a wrong impression about me. But, seriously after what happened, I look for you to say sorry but I don't know how to reach you, they told me you're out of the country."

Mukha namang sincere si Luke habang sinasabi iyon.

Yes, after that incident Portia go to Singapore para magpagamot doon at tumakas muna sandali sa mga bashers at reporter. Gusto rin muna niyang ilayo ang sarili niya sa publiko dahil hindi pa gumagaling ang mga rushes na tinamo niya dahil sa alagang aso ni Luke at iligtas din ang sarili niya sa kahihiyan dahil sa mga nangyari.

Gusto niyang isumbat ang lahat ng iyon kay Luke ngunit nanatili lang siyang tahimik at pinakinggan ang paliwanag nito.

"My intention is pure, you just misinterpreted it by panicking. I just want Raven to hug you, for I wish somehow you will like him coz you told me you hate dogs. And about the video, I have nothing to do with it. On my investigation, I discovered that the video came from an intruder who's been there since the very first day of our photoshoots."

Na-appreciate ni Portia na gumawa naman pala ng effort si Luke hindi lang sila nagkaintindihan.

Ngayon ay naliwanagan na siya.

Nagpapasalamat siya kay Stacey kung hindi dahil dito at sa brilliant idea nito ay hindi sila magkakaayos ni Luke.

ISA sa mga kasambahay nila Stacey ang kumatok sa kanyang silid. Sinabi nito na dumating na raw ang mga magulang niya at gusto siyang makausap ng mommy niya nasa living room daw ito at naghihintay sa kanya.

"At long last I have waited for this moment, to see my parents, its been a month now." aniya sa sarili, habang nagsusuklay ng buhok at naghahanda para sa pagkikita nila ng kanyang ina.

Nagmamadali siyang bumaba ng hagdanan, excite na siyang makita ang ina. Gustong-gusto na niya itong mayakap.

Ngunit hindi niya inaasahan na ang seryoso at walang kangiti-ngiting mukha ng kanyang ina ang kanyang makikita.

Isn't she happy to see me?

"I have received a calls from the bank," her mother started talking seriously.

"You exceeded to the limits of your credit cards?" sabi pa nito, na nakahalukipkip ang mga kamay sa diddib. She looks so dissapointed to her daughter.

Ang pakiramdam ngayon ni Stacey ay para siyang nakasakay roller coaster. Nasa itaas siya tapos bigla nalang bubulusok pa ibaba.

Nangunot ang noo ng mommy niya.

"Remember you're cards are just my extensions whatever you do with it is reported directly to me."My Goodness ,Stacey Anne!"

Kapag gano'ng tinatawag na siya ng ina sa buo niyang pangalan ay siguradong galit na ito.

"And not only that, including your ATM's.

You spend two million pesos for just two hours of shopping. Oh, I really can't believe this!" Napahawak pa ito sa noo na para bang biglang sumakit ang ulo.

"And it nonsense, Stacey Anne! It's nonsense!" Her mom is totally pissed off.

"Lucky enough your Dad's not here. He is so disappointed in you. He told me to cut off your credit cards and ATM's even your monthly allowance for you to learn your lessons." Pananakot nito sa anak.

Biglang sumakit ang tenga ni Stacey sa kanyang narinig.

"But__" Her mom interrupted her.

"No more buts Stacey Anne, it's your Dad's decisions and that's final. I'm just here to tell you that personally. I'm leaving tomorrow morning our conference in Las Vegas is not yet over they need my presence there.

All you have to do is to stay here and wait for us to return. You have nothing to worry about, all your needs is here I'll leave my personal assistant to take in charge of everything, but your Dad forbid her to give you any single centavo. It's just a reminder for you. "
