Chapter Seven I had never cried so much before in my life. The mental picture of Emily in Nick’s arms kept replaying itself inside my head over and over until I thought I’d really lose it. I felt like I was dead and alive at the same time and living inside my own shadowy dream. My absolute existence had come to end. I was no longer aware of who I was or where I belonged.
