2: No Problem

“THE WHAT?!”   Ghrae slumped back down on her seat from earlier as she watched the leaves of the tree from a distance dance. The last location for the picture taking with the bridesmaids was at the garden of the hotel. It was a perfect weather with the sky being painted with a beautiful bright shade of blue and the sun exposing less sunlight toward them as if the sky god was actually supporting them in making the wedding day a perfect day.   “The wedding cake fell—”   “I heard you, Peter!” The voice of her mother could be clearly heard from a distance with annoyance evident in her tone.   While Ghrae was having her makeup done earlier, a fun plan suddenly entered her mind that could possibly give her some emotions to feel before the wedding ceremony since she wanted to at least feel happy or experience something fun before changing her relationship status—it was confirmed that Ghrae was born to feel no emotions until the end of her life as she watched everyone around her panic because of her wicked action without any sense of satisfaction or enjoyment inside her.   Growing up reading books made her crave for emotions to be felt since it seemed fun in her imagination that she had tried doing several things found in her books such as cooking, playing multiplayer games, playing sports, and other more activities; nothing happened after though, not even a sense of satisfaction or pleasure from any of the activities. It made Ghrae think that she could not be a human being for not being able to feel any emotions, not even anger.   “OMG! The wedding cake is literally smashed on the floor! I repeat, the—” Ghrae immediately turned her head to see her 29-year-old doctor cousin exclaiming with obvious astonishment in his face.   “Shut your mouth and just wait at the venue!” Addie hissed at her nephew, who just sheepishly smiled in response and skipped his way back inside like a little kid.   The other people who were present at the garden let out a chuckle at his childish act that some were wondering on how he was even the best doctor in the country. The Pylee family had no member that was not the best in any profession, after all. No one would basically believe that Ghrae was not a Pylee by blood considered on how talented and professional she always was at work, which was one of the reasons why most people did not really have a say on her marrying Wyatt Hazien, the son of the chairman of HZ Group.   While most of the people rushed inside the hotel to see the fallen wedding cake, Ghrae stayed calmly on her seat while stepping on the leaves that fell right by her feet. Some of the other photographers who were devoted of their job stayed and continued to check on the shots that they took from their cameras with zero interest on what was happening in the hotel restaurant.   Ghrae was able to flee from the scene right after she pushed the wedding cake from the table through the closest exit and she stayed in the comfort room for a few minutes while holding her gown up so that people would not suspect her. Basically, it worked as everyone began to suspect everyone, including the poor janitors, though the bride remained unbothered since she had no emotions, after all.   The thing is, Ghrae was neither against nor fond of the wedding. The reason why she ruined the wedding cake was simple enough—she wanted to feel pleasure from being evil like how antagonists were in the TV dramas that she watched; though unlike in the fiction world, it was different in her case since she could not feel any emotion at all no matter what she does.   “Miss Pylee?” Her head shot up as she gave the wedding planner her attention. “I’m sorry to say this, but we’re going to have to push the wedding ceremony in fifteen more minutes.”   “Fifteen more minutes? Did you have an extra wedding cake in the bakeshop?” Ghrae asked.   “Yes, it’s currently on the way here,” A smile appeared on the wedding planner’s face as she let out a sigh of relief. “Thankfully, your mom was prepared for a situation like this.”   “Oh, that’s great,” The bride flashed a small smile on her face.   “You can wait for another fifteen minutes, right Miss?” A nod and a soft smile from the bride made the wedding planner at ease as she returned the smile. “Alright then. I’ll go back inside.”   “Sure.”   The wedding planner left the bride with the assumption that Ghrae might be lying that she could wait and might actually been upset of having the wedding ceremony delayed though she was still thankful that the bride was still patient and kind. Anyway, the wedding planner’s assumption was clearly wrong since Ghrae did not mind having the wedding ceremony delayed for a couple more minutes.   The additional fifteen minutes had passed as the wedding cake delivery from the best bakeshop in the country arrived at the hotel. The floor of the restaurant was already back to being shiny and spotless as they slowly pulled the exact same wedding cake out from the big box and placed it on the table. A satisfied smile appeared on Addie’s face as she saw how good as new the wedding cake like nothing just happened a couple of minutes ago. She clapped to give everyone the signal to continue working and start the wedding ceremony.   “Miss Pylee, it’s time.”   Hearing that from the wedding planner from earlier, Ghrae immediately stood up from her seat as she followed the wedding planner toward the venue. Her heartbeat was at a normal rate as she got closer to the venue as if it was just another typical business occasion that she had to attend for the sake of her job, though the wedding planner was thinking the opposite thing, which was the bride being nervous. With that thought, the wedding planner gave Ghrae a smile as she softly gave her back a pat.   “Everything’s going to be fine, Miss. Forget about everyone around you like it’s just you and Mister Wyatt together,” she advised. “Again, congratulations on your wedding, Miss Pylee.”   Ghrae could only respond with a small smile as they got closer to the venue. If only the wedding planner knew what the bride was actually feeling at the moment.   The chatters in the venue toned down as the emcee stepped up in front and announced that the wedding ceremony was about to begin. Everyone anticipated in excitement as they watched the members of the wedding entourage walk down the aisle in expensive outfits in order. Starting from Addie who had a proud grin on her face up to the flower girls and ring bearer who were youngest members of the Pylee family. At the front of the aisle was Wyatt in a gray tuxedo from one of the most luxurious brands in the world. Unlike his usual messy curly hairstyle, he had his curly hair fixed in place with his forehead completely exposed, which made the girls in the venue water at the sight even though he was literally going to get married.   After a minute, the doors opened as the bride appeared with her veil covering her face while she held her bouquet across her chest that was bought from the best florist in the country. Everyone except Wyatt’s fangirls immediately turned their attention to Ghrae with awestruck faces. Beside her was Ryan Pylee, her adoptive father, as she held on his arm while they both walked down the aisle together.   The bride was indeed the most beautiful person in the hotel and Wyatt could agree without a doubt as he stared intently at his bride with a big smile on his face, proud that he was going to be the guy that the beautiful girl would be marrying.
