9 Silas Silas’s cell rang, pulling him from a deep, dreamless sleep. Annoyance sent a growl through his clenched jaw as he rolled to grab his phone from the bedside table. He didn’t recognize the number but knew without a doubt who had called. He’d already spoken with his sister earlier in the day to get caught up on the events since his arrest. His scowl dissolved, and he settled back against his pillow with a smirk. “Tell me you’re outside.” A shaky exhale filled his ear. “I’m outside,” Troy whispered. Silas hung up, yanked on a pair of boxer briefs, and hurried toward his front door. A glance through the peephole showed a flushed, delicious attorney waiting in the hallway.
