HUNTER
As if it wasn’t enough to think about her for the past day. And night.
She just had to come here and… look this good.
I did not go to the town after all and now had all those thoughts creeping into my mind. Not to mention that the pain disappeared the moment I touched her and now I was sure about her being connected to all that.
“Sienna Grayson definitely grew up well,” the demon inside of me whispered and I could feel how the “ink” on my skin was crawling towards where our skin touched, so I had to yank my hand back.
I grabbed my jacket and prepared to leave.
“Thanks,” I muttered, walking away from her. The sooner she would be gone – the better. I needed to stay away from her. The last thing I wanted was to hurt her somehow.
“Is this all that you want to say after all those years, Hunter?” I heard behind my back and turned to look at her again slowly. Her eyebrow was raised, and she was watching my reaction with a challenge in her stormy blue eyes.
She thought she was so clever, didn’t she?
“Maybe you are the one who wants to say something, Sienna?” I smirked and she did the same. Yep, definitely not a kid anymore.
“Yeah, I don’t mind talking,” she shook her shoulders, “There are definitely a few questions that are bothering me.”
“Not interested,” I chuckled and continued walking as far from her as it was only possible, “Go home, little one.”
But her sudden scream made me turn my head back and I saw her sitting on the grass and rubbing her ankle vigorously. From the corner of my eye, I saw a small black snake quickly crawling away. Sh*t!
“Sienna!” I grabbed her in my arms and she looked at me with teary eyes. But now wasn’t the right moment to talk to her. “It’s going to be fine!”
I lifted her up in my arms and ran through the forest as fast as I could. I knew I needed to get the poison out of her system as soon as possible.
“But for that you don't need to take her to your house,” the demon chuckled and I tried to shove him to the very back of my mind.
Sienna's hands wrapped around my neck and she tucked her face in the crook of my neck, making me feel things that I did not want to feel. Her warm breath was bringing sinful thoughts into my head and I growled trying to take back control.
“Hunter,” she whispered and I felt her soft lips touching my skin. why the hell couldn't I hide a hoodie somewhere in the woods along with my sweatpants?! “It hurts!” She mumbled and I sped up.
Finally, we reached my cottage and I took her inside, placing her gently on the sofa. She already seemed slightly pale and I cursed under my breath, tearing her jeans from the ankle up to see where the bite was. Two red marks were on her ankle and they did not look good.
“Don't worry,” I promise to her, “I'll take care of you. Everything is going to be fine!”
I carefully took your leg into my hands and placed my lips onto the bite, we're looking at her, hoping to reassure her. She watched me with ragged breathing and when I started to suck, Sienna bit her lip, moaning softly.
“Yes, suck it just like that,” the demon inside of me was happy with everything that was going on but I knew better than to listen to him now. I spit the first portion of poison into the ashtray that I had on my coffee table and never used anyway. Then came back to the wound and repeated everything.
The girl watched me, and I noticed that her hands were grasping the cushions on the sofa tight.
“Does it hurt a lot?” I asked her, worried and she hesitated before answering, her cheeks getting redder.
“A bit,” she nodded and bit that lip of hers again, making me think of other things. That little minx. Had she any idea what she was doing to me?
I spit another portion of poison and squeezed her wound as I wanted to check if any poison was left inside. I started sucking again just to make sure that her blood was clear. And, luckily, it was. But I pressed my lips to her flesh once again on some kind of instinct and closed my eyes just for a few seconds as I did it.
She smelled so good. Magnolia blossoms, my favourite. And her skin is so soft… the softest thing that I touched in years.
Another moan brought me back to reality and I realised that I was caressing her ankle with my lips and tongue while my fingers were sliding up and down her thigh. All while Sienna was arching her back and panting, squeezing the life out of my cushions. Her chest was going up and down and her plump lips were parted and dry. She looked at me and licked them, making me growl and pull her closer by her thighs. So close, so damn close…
“Hunter,” her hands slid to my shoulders and I felt how her nails dug into my flesh. Yet she did not push me away.
She was watching me, waiting... And I felt like the lowest creature on Earth.
What was I doing? What was wrong with me? It was Sienna for Goddess' sake! Aria's little sister!
How low could I sink?!
But I truly started to get worried when I noticed that the ink from my hands was now touching her. It loved her, strove for her, it wanted her... I definitely never had this effect with anyone else in all those years since I was cursed and poisoned with a demon's blood.
My demon was lustful, domineering, supercilious... But it never cared for a woman. And it craved Sienna. Almost the same way I craved her for some reason, if not more...
Just what was going on here? Why did she have this effect on me?
I had to use all my willpower to take my hands off her, the creams of my beast were tearing my brain apart. He was not happy to be separated again.
I stood up and walked away to the window, trying not to look at her. It would be best not to see her because if I kept watching, I wasn't so sure that I would be able to hold back...
"Do you feel better?" I asked and she cleared her throat.
"A bit," she answered, "Thank you so much, Hunter."
This again... I loved the sound of my name on her lips... But I couldn't, just couldn't.
"You need to get your things and go home," I said firmly and turned to look at her, finding her right next to me.
She took me by surprise as she placed her hands over my shoulders and brushed them softly, smirking, "I don't want to!"
