Olivia POV

I wasn't going to give him my backpack, there I had all the snacks I had stolen, and that would surely be a trap of his to send me to prison or hurt me. So with my heart racing, I thought of a way to flee, looking everywhere in that room for an open window or a door to run out.

But I was soon interrupted when he grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him again since now our bodies were close... Too close...

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked in fright, grabbing his shoulders in an attempt to pull him away from me.

"I wouldn't if I were you, if you try to run, I'm going to have to chase you like you're my prey, and I don't think you like being my prey."

With my heart racing, I watched as he finally closed the distance between us, and finally brought our faces together in a kiss.

Before my eyes, I could see how that frightened omega ran out of the mansion, leaving behind her pants since she was only wearing her underwear.

"Let her go, she won't be able to go too far after all" I said very confidently.

"Sir, are you sure of your decision? The young lady hasn't left the city yet, we can order the main entrance gates closed and leave her locked up here for arrest" One of the guards suggested.

"I ordered to let her go. Now stop wasting time and return to your positions, if you had been guarding the entrances of your alpha's house she wouldn't have come in here in the first place."

They all lowered their heads somewhat embarrassed, as I bent down to pick up the article of clothing she left behind. Definitely, her sweet scent was all over this place, all over the room, even all over her clothes. With this scent, it would be very easy for any wolf to be able to find her, especially for me, since her scent seems to awaken something in my instincts.

"Sir, should we alert the alpha leader about this?" one of the guards asks.

"No, I'll do it myself, I'll go look for him now" I said coldly: "Bring the best trackers in the pack, the girl's scent is all over the house, and it will be easy to follow her with that trail."

For a moment all the guards looked confused, until one finally said: "Sir, there is no other scent in this place but yours."

"What? I can smell the thief's scent easily enough, how is it possible that you cannot perceive it?"

"Sir I am sure of that, her scent is nowhere in the house and nowhere outside either, there is no way to follow her trail."

"How could that be possible?" I asked aloud, expressing my thoughts that way: "Even humans don't lack scent, if you guys can't pick up that girl's scent, then..."

My words were cut off in the air, as I could perfectly perceive her sweet scent all over the mansion, in every step she took, in every hall she visited, I could feel her… But they don’t.

I decided to leave the confused guards carrying with me the clothes of that omega, since I was really confused by what was happening, how was it possible that I was the only one who could feel her scent?

Then that day came to my mind, when, unable to bear the pain of not having my mate by my side, I decided to make a forbidden wish: to break my bond with my Luna, trying to stop suffering from my loneliness.

Was that the reason? Why my body had reacted so strangely by her side? I had no idea, but I had to make sure that she was not my mate, I had to confirm it.

Then that little hope in the bottom of my heart began to be reborn, the one I had had of finding my true love and having a happy ending by her side.

I had to find that thief no matter what the cost, so I went back to my room in the mansion, where taking a quick bath I put on any clothes, deciding to leave quickly to get my car to go look for Evan.

If I was going to find my Luna and save her from her foolish idea of stealing from the alpha leader's house, I had to talk to my cousin to ask for his help.

Only the alpha leader could forgive the thief who had tried to rob him.
