The arena was not entirely emptied when Medakkaru was back to life. His two brothers were looking down at him with their arms crossed. He gasped some air before he sat bolt upright and coughed for some moments.
“You do know this is another public humiliation to the Deathbellow House, don’t you, Medakkaru?” His oldest brother Pildogoz drawled. His light blue eyes regarded him coldly. He wore violet clothing that clearly told of his high rank among his brothers. He was as tall as Mirkatthun, but Medakkaru was taller than his two brothers for at least two or three inches at six feet and five inches. His brother’s dark brown hair was curly and was in a low ponytail. He was lean and good looking, but he had that cold aura, which pushed female dragon shifters away.
“But we’re still proud of you, brother. You don’t give up!” Mirkatthun smirked, patting Medakkaru on the shoulder. His playful beige eyes danced while looking at him. He, on the other hand, wore brown clothes to clearly declare his level, just like other dragon shifters. He had black undercut hair, which had tiny braids that were done magically. Unlike their oldest brother, he was bulky.
Medakkaru got up and dusted himself off. He noticed Forbreth look his way, nodding at him, safe in his brown level. He gained more points to take on anyone who was in violet level, thanks to Medakkaru.
F*cking life! he thought bitterly.
It was weird since the woman inside him was now quiet, humming some song he did not recognize. He was truly baffled at this sudden change.
“Are you mental?” he asked her. His brothers’ eyes widened at his words, but he raised a hand. “No, I’m not talking to you. There’s a woman inside me.”
Mirkatthun burst out laughing while Pildogoz narrowed his eyes, regarding his words with seriousness.
“What do you mean there’s a woman inside you?” Pildogoz queried, looking deep into his eyes. “You mean someone’s talking from the inside?”
Mirkatthun stopped laughing when he heard it and turned serious. “Damn, brother! Are you serious?”
“I’m serious, Mirkatthun! And she’s… I think she’s not a dragon shifter.”
“You see? I told you there’s something wrong with him!” Pildogoz said to Mirkatthun.
Medakkaru’s second brother turned to him. “How is that possible? I mean, we know there’s a huge possibility that there’s another world aside from Dracmond but another soul to reside inside your body?” His eyes became bigger. “How’s it like?”
“It’s unfortunate and annoying! She is both! And loud!” he complained, holding his head as Kimora screamed in his head. “Can you help me get rid of her?” he asked his brothers.
“You… you’re going to get rid of me?” Kimora inquired with excitement. “Does that mean I can go back to Earth?”
His two brothers looked at him in a weird way. “Earth?” they chorused.
“Yes, I’m Kimora, by the way,” she said, and Medakkaru smiled sweetly, which weirded his brothers. She brought her host’s hand up for a handshake. However, the two dragon shifters just looked at their brother’s hand. “This is how we greet in my world when we first meet someone.” She held each of their hand and shook it.
The two older brothers of her host were slack-jawed, watching Medakkaru’s face. They both c****d their heads on one side.
“Kimora’s your name, and how did you get into our brother’s body?” Pildogoz asked in a serious tone.
She sighed and caught a strand of Medakkaru’s hair and twisted it in his finger unconsciously. “I don’t know. I was in my friend’s father’s collection room, then I saw this painting with a black dragon flying over a city and destroying it. I was fascinated by the live colors, you know? And so… I touched it. That’s when I saw a blinding light. The next time I knew…” She gestured the green sky above. “I saw that weird sky. It’s supposed to be blue in my world. But here, it’s green.”
Mirkatthun and Pildogoz looked at the sky and exchanged glances. They were sure their brother was not making this up. They knew Medakkaru well. Everything that comes out of his mouth almost had curses. But this, this one in front of them although had their brother’s voice and looks was completely a different person. They were sure it was not Medakkaru speaking right now.
“And I never thought dragon shifters are real! I only read them in books, you know?” Kimora added.
“What? Books? What are those?” Mirkatthun questioned with dark brows knitted.
“You don’t have books here?” she asked curiously. “But do you read?”
“Of course we do. We just don’t have books as you put it. Maybe you’re referring to levhar.” Pildogoz swiped a hand in the air, and magically, a green aura panned. In its place appeared multiple frames of texts and images in different colors, making Kimora stare. She thought these were better than ebooks.
“Wow! These are awesome!” she whispered in amazement, blinking. The texts were not in English alphabets, of course. They were in Dracum text, which was composed of symbols, dots and lines. Nonetheless, she weirdly did not have trouble reading them. “Can I borrow the levhar?” she asked, with hopeful eyes, looking at the handsome Pildogoz. She really loved his light blue orbs. They looked refreshing and cool.
“You don’t need to borrow. You can just swipe your hand, think of the levhar and you can choose whatever you want to read,” he answered simply. Actually, it was like he was talking to a kid. However, she did not mind. It was good to hear someone not cussing her in almost every sentence that comes out of his mouth, just like her host. She thought she liked Pildogoz better than Medakkaru.
“You what?” Medakkaru roared.
Now his brothers looked at him, assessing this situation.
“O… kay…” Mirkatthun slowly said, squinting his eyes. “Where’s Kimora gone?”
“She’s still f*cking inside me, Mirkatthun!” he replied with deep annoyance.
“Does it offend you if I say I like your brother more than I like you? You’re full of sh*t in your mouth!” His hand pointed at his own mouth.
Medakkaru’s nostrils expanded. “I’m not fricking offended! Why do I care? Oh, right! I do! You might f*cking do something to my brother while using this precious body of mine, woman!”
“What did you say? I’m not a p*****t!”
Medakkaru snorted. “May I remind you, you even touched my p—” His own hand covered his mouth.
His brothers sniggered hysterically, recalling that their brother was indeed touching himself while he was having a duel.
Medakkaru’s face heated up, pulling his hand from his mouth like it was something hard to do. “Stop laughing! Just help me get rid of this fricking woman!”
