Adam had horrible phantam arm pain. He didn't understand why his left arm hurt so bad. The newly severed nerve endings kept firing pain signals to his brain.
Adam was given Morphine to help with the pain, and to keep him from remembering.
Adam was so out of it, he barely ate what Mitzy tried to feed him. He was losing muscle. His body was deconditioning from the bed rest.
His legs were too weak for him to walk now.
When Mitzy visited him, he threw the food at her and cussed at her.
He hated her.
He was getting irritable, hard to handle. The last nurse, a burly- thick German woman named Gemma, had lasted only a week. He threatened her life when she tried to give him a suppository, the Morohine was constipating him.
Mitzy made sure that Adam had been taken care of very well.
