I wait, watching as my group of warriors find effective coverage among the trees.
Ava approaches me, taking her hand, and rubbing small circles on my back as she speaks "We will bring her home today, James."
I know she can feel the tension that is radiating from me. The closer we get the more I worry about not being able to find her once we get there. I start to respond but stop as I hear a growl behind me. I turn at the same time as Ava to see Michael standing behind us.
"Michael, I've told you about this several times already. You're going to get enough of growling at me." Ava exclaims, shooting him a look.
"I can't help it" he grumbles "You're touching an almost naked man"
Ava giggles "He's your brother... whose like a brother to me... and he's not naked."
