I send out a mind link to all the pack warriors to let them know that I need them to meet me at the new packhouse in 10 minutes. Afterwards, I take a few deep breaths and prepare to leave for the pack house myself. I feel an overwhelming sense of excitement and anxiety. I’m excited at the thought that I could possibly see my mate within the next 24 hours, but I’m also anxious that something could possibly go wrong during that time. I wish I wouldn’t have agreed to wait, but I must admit that Ava has an excellent point. We can’t rush into battle without being fully prepared. That’s a recipe for disaster.
