CHAPTER 29- PRESENT TIME

1520 Words
Sheena couldn't understand it, but she relished the opportunity to tease him. She liked the way his brows knitted together in the center of his broad forehead, and she adored his ferocious eyes whenever he glowered. She pursed her lips and arched her brows as she expressed her gratitude for his thoughtfulness. "We should depart now since I have to begin cooking at five o'clock," she said. "All right, go ahead and wait outside for me. "I'll simply retrieve the vehicle from the garage," he stated. As she stood outside The White Castles' castle-like edifice, the hair on her nape sprang up as she sensed a set of eyes examining her. She raised her eyes to see whether anyone was on the higher floor, but there was no one. She waved at him when she spotted his car, and Sebastian came to a halt in front of her. She did not wait for him to open the door; she opened it herself. After adjusting the seatbelt, she gave him a glance and stated, "I believe this place is haunted." Sebastian coughed in response to the woman's absurd statement. “Haunted? As in how?" 'Inquire' he said. He was not a believer in ghosts, but the house had been abandoned for some years as a result of his stepmother's refusal to relocate to The White Castles. "Are you endowed with a third eye?" 'Inquire' he said. Sheena considered telling Sebastian a big joke and nodded her head. "In fact, someone is currently caressing your hair," she joked. It was meant to be a prank, but it ended tragically when he abruptly came to a halt, and if she had been wearing her seatbelt, her skull would have been harmed! “Hey! "How did you accomplish that?" She screamed, and the man gave her a sneer! Sebastian told her to serve the dinner in the dining hall thirty minutes after six p.m. When Sebastian intervened, she asked Derrick to bring the chaffing dish into the hall. “Why?” She enquired. "I believe it should be plated," he responded. "This is not amusing, Sebastian." She hesitated to trust him, since it would be inconvenient to do so with only a few minutes remaining till supper began. "This is not a joke, Sheena. One hundred platters, each with rice, steamed fish, and whatever side dishes are available." He was adamant. Sheena pursed her lips and stamped her feet in defiance. "I think it's absurd!" They're either going to get their meal from the chaffing dish or they're going to go to bed hungry!" She maintained her stance. Wasn't it sufficient that she would prepare food for them? Now, he desired that she serve it like if they were at a posh restaurant! She cursed quietly before rolling her eyes. "So you're not going to do it?" He enquired. As she observed his expression, Sheena's fingers caressed her chin. Hmmm, judging by the way his brows wrinkled and the way he frowned at her, he seemed furious. She was, however, too fatigued to begin serving their supper. "I will never do such a thing!" She was adamant. “Sheena!” He screamed, and the kitchen walls resonated with his powerful voice. She was taken aback at first, but knew he would not harm her! Sheena returned his look as she walked away. When she reSebast anything, she was only a few meters away from him. "Permit me to borrow one of your shirts." She needed to change her clothes after a brief shower, but she lacked additional clothing. How could he be furious with her when she was so adorable in his presence? "How about your undergarments?" He should not have asked her that question, but it was too late to realize his error! He cursed under his breath, "damn it." Before responding to his request, Sheena cleared the knot in her throat and closed her eyes. "After supper, Sebastian, it's bedtime, and I don't believe I have to wear it if I'm going to sleep." Wait a minute, where did she find the audacity to be bold? Sebastian seemed at ease with her reaction, as she could tell when he coughed and indicated her to simply leave. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Sheena slipped down to her underwear inside her bedroom, which smelled strongly of garlic and other spices. She then entered the bathroom for a brief shower. Sebastian promised her earlier that she would introduce her to the rest of the residents of the mansion, which is why she could not be missing during dinner, regardless of how exhausted she is. She was unfamiliar with feeding more than a hundred people, and preparing for numerous people depleted her energy. She hoped she could just shut her eyes and sleep! She had just stepped out of the shower and heard a knock. Sheena zipped up her white bathrobe before approaching the door to open it. As predicted, Sebastian arrived with a paper bag containing his unused clothing. "Thank you," she replied, closing the door behind her as she changed. It wasn't true that she didn't have any spare underpants in her backpack; she carried a dozen. Additionally, she brought a pair of cotton shorts and a basic top. However, the supply is limited, and she would require them during the day. She anticipated something along the lines of what she had seen in the movies, but upon opening the bag, she saw a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Although the size was tremendous for her, she had no grounds for complaint. The hoodie alone practically touched her knees, and pairing it with the sweatpants would be ludicrous. Rather than that, she rejected the sweatpants and opted for the hoodie alone. In any case, it's enormous! Due to its thickness, she chose to go braless and simply let her long hair hang down. Her ash-blonde hair looked great against the black sweatshirt. She's ready to go after applying lip color and humming her favorite tune as she walks into the dining hall. Her smile, however, faded as she noticed other women dressed in evening dresses. The women were likewise taken aback to see her, and she scanned the throng for Sebastian. Sheena craned her neck and clenched her teeth as she saw him laughing with a redheaded woman! "Who are these people?" She inquired loudly, causing the other woman to gasp for air. "Would you kindly excuse us for a moment, sweetheart?" Sebastian politely requested that the redhead leave him alone, and she complied. “So? Who are these people?" She questioned him once again as soon as the redhead left them alone. "My ladies," he said. “W-what?” Is she certain she heard him correctly? His females? Are they all? Who did he believe himself to be? A medieval king? She had a slew of questions running through her mind, but she wasn't sure where to begin! She was taken aback when she learned he had a hundred women! She was disappointed, but she was perplexed as to why she felt that way! Sebastian trembled at her dismay, but he couldn't continue to lie about his hidden hideaway. "They are all mine, Sheena. "Every single one of them," he stated. "Are you insane?" Why do you require a large number of women? "Are you sure you're not a s*x maniac, Sebastian?" There was no other explanation that made sense to Sheena as to why he had numerous ladies in one location. What a revelation, God! "Are you a s****l maniac?" No, I am not, but a guy may have an infinite number of toys if he so desires." He reacted angrily, and she clinched her jaw and fixed him with a death gaze. “Toys? Considered them to be toys? Whoa, I can't believe what I'm hearing!" She refused to accept that, for the first time in her life, she admired and desired him. "How about you, Richard?" Is he aware of it?" Richard discovering the hidden refuge would undoubtedly shatter her heart. Sebastian considered lying but chose to tell the truth. While the truth may cause her pain, it is preferable to being consoled by lies. "Indeed," he responded. "However, Sheena, do not be alarmed; you will not become one of my ladies." He assuaged her fears. His confidence should have reassured her, yet it failed to do so! She was let down by Richard, Sebastian, and everything else! "Excuse me," she muttered, and walked away silently. Sebastian grumbled as he pursued her. "Wait, Sheena!" He called, but she did not hear him, and he was forced to chase her down. He caught up with Sheena just as she was about to lock her bedroom door. "Let's have a conversation first," he implored her. "Not at the moment, Sebastian. "I require some alone time," she stated, refusing to speak with him until she is prepared to listen to any explanation he offers. Sheena's eyes glowed with fear, and the word disappointment etched across her face. "You're in good hands with me, Sheena." Sebastian hoped that his words would dispel her fear.
