She laid on her bed while Sebastian continued to bang on the door. However, she was unconvinced at the time. She reasoned that if she ignored him, he would flee, but he persisted. Sheena was compelled to get from her bed and open the door. "Sebastian, let's discuss later, not now. If it's all right with you, I'd want to take a break." She stated politely, but she was on the verge of losing her anger, and if Sebastian continued to annoy her, she had no idea what would happen next.
“Tomorrow? Certainly not. "We must speak immediately," Sebastian stressed.
She clenched her hand at her side and swung it toward his jaw. His reflexes, on the other hand, were quick enough to detect her movements and prevent her from hitting him. “God! Are you an avenger? Why were you compelled to do that?" He questioned her intent in attempting to strike him.
"Are there captives in this place?" She enquired.
“What? No! They applied for the post on their own initiative; I did not coerce them!" He cried out.
Who was he attempting to con? Nobody would submit an application to become one of his toys! They locked gazes, each refusing to look down first, and it became a contest of wills. She then remembered a stupid newspaper advertisement she had hidden inside her wallet. When she remembered the clip, she opened the door and proceeded to get her wallet.
She rummaged through her backpack and when she discovered it, she extracted a clip from the previous advertisement! When she arose, she came dangerously close to colliding with Sebastian, who had allowed himself in without permission. "How did you gain access?" She inquired in a high-pitched tone, perplexed as to why she felt thrilled at their proximity. She cleared her throat before speaking. "Is this your property?" She handed him a little piece of paper with a job advertisement at a large price, and he lost the color in his face.
Was she a saboteur? How did she obtain the newspaper advertisement from years ago? "Who, Sheena?" he questioned.
Her brows furrowed in response to Sebastian's second interrogation of her identity. "I'm Sebastian, the newly recruited cook. Why?” She returned her response.
Sebastian was taken aback by how swiftly she altered her tone. "Who are you, Sheena?" "Did you conspire with Richard to assassinate me?" he screamed.
"How do you know what you're talking about, Sebastian?" She enquired.
Sebastian pulled the piece of paper from her grasp and said, "Who gave you this?"
"There is no one! I discovered it in the papers and assumed it was a hoax. Are you satisfied? Please exit immediately; I'm exhausted!" She informed him, but as he stayed immobile, she became curious as to what was going on in his thoughts. Was he referring to the redhead she had seen earlier?
"Sheena...," he murmured.
She repressed her feelings and locked her gaze on Sebastian. "Would you kindly leave me alone?" she pleaded. He locked his gaze on her for a brief while, as if he wanted to say something, but she desired he wouldn't! She is not yet prepared to hear his justifications, if he has any.
"All right," he responded, striding towards the door.
When Sebastian departed, Sheena heard the doorknob click loudly. She got her phone and quickly phoned Richard's number! She needed to flee before it was too late. Who knew if Sebastian would revert to his monstrous form and compel her to serve him in bed?
When Richard did not pick up her call, she cursed angrily. She tried one time and had the same results, till her phone was switched off. She was nearly tempted to call Cielo for assistance as she glanced through her phonebook. She was, however, fearful that her father might injure Cielo on her behalf!
Sheena licked her bottom lip before turning to the final person who might be able to assist her. She did not intend to cling to him, but she was powerless to resist. She would swallow her pride...just once! Determined to depart from The White Castles, she would swallow her pride.
"Hey, what's going on?"
He probably did not delete her number from his phonebook as a result of his acquaintance with her. "It has been some time, Joshua. Where have you gone?" She enquired.
"I'm on my way to Erin's ranch," he said.
When he named Erin, she realized her chances of requesting his assistance were slim. "What caused you to postpone your meeting?" He had previously discussed his search for the woman he lost 10 years ago, and she was perplexed as to why it took her many months to see her.
"I became fearful," he said.
Sheena's heart melted as he confessed his fear of meeting Erin again after ten years. "Wishing you the best of luck, Joshua." She wished him well and then hung up.
She repeatedly sighed as she marched back and forth across the room. She was disoriented. She was befuddled and unsure how she would live in The White Castles. What if Sebastian suddenly requested that she pay a visit to his bed? She attempted to contact Richard one more time before giving up, and when she was unable to reach him, she shut off her phone.
While pacing back and forth, she was reminded of a statement that stated that if you cannot overcome them, join them! On the other hand, where would she have the guts to attempt such an endeavor? For heavens sake, she had just fled her father's tyranny!
She brushed her hair and exhaled deeply before strolling towards the entrance. She strode into the dining hall, a prepared grin on her lips, ready to join everyone for supper. When she arrived, Sebastian and Derrick looked at her, but some of the women raised their brows.
She greeted everyone and introduced herself as the cook in a loud voice, but warned them to be kind to her or she would poison their meals. Although that was a jest, she earned Sebastian's glare.
"Was it necessary for you to terrify them?" Sebastian inquired as to the whereabouts of the women who had departed and returned to the West Wing.
"How are you doing, Sebastian?" Are you afraid?" She pressed him to tell the truth.
"Do you have the wherewithal to injure me?" He answered with a question rather than immediately answering her.
Sheena locked her gaze on Sebastian, examining his expression. "It depends on how you treat me here," she said, believing it was sufficient to give him a message not to try his wicked ways on her!
Sheena chose to be cautious around him after learning about his peculiar behaviors involving women, and finally forbade both men from visiting her in the kitchen. She no longer accompanied them to the store, and she took care to keep a safe distance from Sebastian. In the mornings, she kept herself occupied by cooking breakfast before the rest of the family awoke. Then, regardless of whether the chaffing dish is heavy than her own weight, she would carry it to the dining hall. She is exaggerating, but she did not enjoy being assisted by Sebastian or Derrick.
After breakfast, she would return to the kitchen to make lunch and dinner. She desired that everything be prepared when it was time to cook, so that she could cook alone.
Every day, she ate her dinner alone, and she was perfectly content! If she only had someone to talk to on the phone, she might be able to live longer at The White Castles. She attempted to contact Richard many nights in a row but his phone remained switched off and she had no other way to contact him.
While she was chopping veggies for her malunggay soup, Sebastian appeared out of nowhere. He did not talk, yet she was still aware of his presence. Who wouldn't, given that he was still wearing the same woody scent? "Do you wish to communicate with me?" After a few moments of stillness, she snapped at him.
It's been two long weeks since he last saw or spoke with her, and throughout those days, he wished he could choke her small neck for excluding him from her workplace! "Why are you torturing me, Sheena?" Didn't I previously assure you that you would be secure from me?" He enquired.
"I'm more secure when you're not around me, Sebastian." She had no intention of offending him, but she felt compelled to give him the truth.
"For God's sake, I am not a r****t!" He scolded her.
"I'm aware of that. However, I hope you realize that this is how I like it," she responded.
